However, I get easily tired of the dumb way the enemy tanks act in MK\MB If you speak about what i think, using "hold position" command is obliged if you don't want to see your tanks going straight to the enemy (it's just a practice to take). Oh and yeah GZM is a great mod but i don't try it since the 5.5 release.

As far as I have seen, the AI in gzm doesn't behave any smarter than in MK/MB. You can also spot them with officers and shot them with some long range units if you refer to this...

Well majority of the mission can be completed with nothing else but a sniper and arty. Although that is boring.

tedi, this is not problem. Blitzkrieg is game and we can play how we want. For example when I started play BK I played on easy difficulty level and I always destroyed everything with artillery. I finished RT with this style. But after time I started hate this style because it was simply boring. So I completely changed my playing style. Now it looks like real Blitzkreig. I use only short artillery preparation and then I attack with big numbers of tanks and with big infantry support on one small place. I still change my style. I always used reload lot of times but now I try dont use reloads. Blitzkrieg is game and is up to us as we will play it. If I can destroy whole map with artillery but I dont like it I simly wont do it.

Agreed. I for one never played it like that. Aside from the fact that it feels like cheating in some missions, like a stated before it's boring.
Still for some missions in RT/BH and MK i've used the approach of silencing the enemy arty, then "unleashing hell" on defense lines and villages. Aside i think Motherland Calls was a refresh when it came to artillery. It was inaccurate, but it was better thane "laser guided missles" from vanilla. However i still believe that till we have/if we have some kind of morale in BK3, arty will stay "laser guided".
For the example i once shelled a house for 42:34 minutes (i used a stopwatch) before it was destroyed, in Motherland.

tedi88: I was referring to units like the Tiger or heavy at-guns that have a significant bigger range in MK as well as in gzm. So it is possible to kill enemy tank when spotted without any reaction from them. Of course is it possible to kill everything with artillery but I agree with SVKblitz that it is quite boring and not really fun to play.

@stanenberg: Well they have always been a little overpowered. However one thing is there's a mission for MK, i thinks it's called Road to Berlin or something like that (i'll have to check it. You only have infantry, mortars, mg's and AT guns. Your playing as the USSR, btw. Anyway to cut the long story short, in that mission you simply have to use AT guns as artillery, in order to clear out bunkers and cross the river, which i like. Very nice mission you should play it even if it's for MK. I've however have stopped playing MK, mostly because some of the mission are nearly impossible. Like you mentioned Tigers, King Tigers and Jagdtigers (rare) are decimating my troops, and there is little i can do against them. Well sometimes when you have JS/IS-2 you are equal, but that's rare. However early war missions for MK (also rare) are nice. MB is much better in that regard. One more thing that turned me from them, is really week infantry. Motherland Calls and GZM and when it comes out SJ modification, have much better infantry. I also like the sounds infantry has in Motherland.

They fight very bad in general: they shot, change positions, shot again... but with vanilla ranges this is ok, in a counter-attack the enemy tanks will get closer to the player position and menace the player units. In MB the AI tanks come very slow, sometimes get stuck between then or stay stopped trying to kill one single infantry unit dragging... But I know, in GZM is not very different. Still, this chapter made by Manhunter is really classic, I played lot of hours this weekend, I cant remember when was the last time I spent so many time playing BK (Oh, really life...!).

I haven't heard about "Schlachtfeld Russland: Heeresgruppe Süd" or Frosty's "Road to Stalingrad" before and I haven't found any info when searching either. Do they require any mods and where can they be downloaded?

Do they require any mods and where can they be downloaded? Thanks in advance! Schlachtfeld Russland: Heeresgruppe Süd is if i recall correctly for vanilla BK. Although take note there's a lot of campaign Brendel software has created, including several covering actions of Heeresgruppe Süd. Road to Stalingrad on the other hand is one of Mission Kursk chapters (again if i recall correctly). Also it's a difficult chapter to complete, but i liked it. It's missions are similar or even reworked missions from Stalingrad game.
