I'm all for adding new Multiplayer Maps. There has always been a shortage of good quality maps that have become popular. So hang on to those and once we get ready where we can add them, we'll upload a Map-pack.
I do need to advise all that I did not start this project because I am a Multiplayer. That just has not ever interested me. But the Multiplayer Community is very important to our overall Community and the future of the game. My interest is in the whole Community, and all of the members.
Having said that, I really need the Multiplayer guys to step forward and keep me informed about what they are experiencing while we move forward on the new Server. This is a collective project, meaning it takes all of us to shape the future.

BK Anthology 1.3.1 Multiplayer Patch
December 5th 2014
In a matter of days, we will be conducting a BETA Test day on the <
Final Unified Patch>
The Final Patch Version is the
BK Anthology 1.3.1 Multiplayer Patch. Players that already have the BETA Patch #3, have the latest version in BETA form. There have been a few very minor changes, but nothing that changes the Server access. Once testing is completed, the Final Release will be available.
For anyone wishing to participate in this BETA Test, let me know so I can make sure you have the Unified Patch. The Testing will run for approximately 18 hours.
The <Final Unified Patch>,
BK Anthology 1.3.1 Multiplayer Patch has been written for all versions of Blitzkrieg 1:
Blitzkrieg (CD) 2003
Blitzkrieg Anthology (CD) 2005
Blitzkrieg Anthology (Download) Amazon.com
Blitzkrieg Anthology (Download) GOG.com
Blitzkrieg Anthology (Download) STEAM (Valve) ** BETA Key only until 1/1/15
** Rolling Thunder, Burning Horizon and Iron Division cannot be played on the Proprietary Server Interface at this time. The Rolling Thunder 1.3.3 Multiplayer Patch should become available in March 2015.
BLITZKRIEG GAME INSTALLATION
During the last several months, I have written many times about how Blitzkrieg should be installed on your computer. The main focus in this ongoing message is about how to take advantage of all of the Game's Options and Game Files. Over the years, Microsoft complicated many older games by making significant changes in software was tracked and launched. After many, many hours of testing, I have found only one reliable answer to maximize your Blitzkrieg games.
The Windows Registry maintains a Directory of where each and every program is stored on your computer. The problem is, it does not also maintain the locations of all associated files for all of the programs. In many cases, Associated Files, Direct Link Libraries, Add-ons, and MODs cannot be located when needed, nor does the WIN REG allow a way for the user to point to those locations.
In the case of Blitzkrieg, this affects everything from MAPs, Campaigns, MODs.... and Multiplayer.
Very soon I will be releasing the Blitzkrieg Installation Guide (title not finalized). The purpose of this Guide is to help players get the most from their game and add-ons.
For the purposes of this ongoing discussion, I will again strongly suggest that you take a close look at how Blitzkrieg is installed on your Computer.
ALL MICROSOFT OPERATING SYSTEMS
If Blitzkrieg or Anthology is installed in the
C:\Program Files ...... or ......
C:\Program Files (x86) Folders..... then you need to change this.
If you run Blitzkrieg from an external drive of any type, you should also not use any Folder that has the words '
Program Files'. That particular key is an issue for Blitzkrieg.
Ok... I know, we all want programs stored in an orderly manner on our Computers... But we also want out programs to run as smoothly as possible. In this case, we must choose Execution over Tidiness.
NEVER USE THE DEFAULT PATH that the Installer suggests to you!!!
---
In the case of STEAM, this might be a problem.
All of the other Anthology Downloads I have tested,
allow you to change the Install Location.
---
In a nutshell, Blitzkrieg should be installed in one of the following methods:
C:\NIVAL\Blitzkrieg
C:\NIVAL\Blitzkrieg Anthology
** If you are using an external drive or device, simply change the Drive Letter (C) for the Correct Drive.
Why did I add the NIVAL Folder to the Path? I do this because hopefully you will not limit yourself to only one Blitzkrieg Title. As your Blitzkrieg Collection grows, you can install them under the NIVAL Folder:
C: |----
NIVAL |-------
Blitzkrieg Anthology |----------
Blitzkrieg |----------
Burning Horizon |----------
Rolling Thunder |-------
StalingradLater Versions of Anthology might look like this:
C:
|----
NIVAL
|-------
Blitzkrieg Anthology
|----------
BH-RT |----------
Blitzkrieg
If you do not wish to include the NIVAL Folder, then don't.
C:
|----
Blitzkrieg Anthology
|----------
BH-RT
|----------
Blitzkrieg
Since I expect every Player to at some point to also become an
Artist... you should plan for more than one installation of Blitzkrieg. You should always maintain the Original Game Installations, since these contain all of the original Game Files. Leave these alone... period!
Blitzkrieg is forgiving in how it tracks the Game Files and Tables from within its own Folders. So if you open the Map Editor in your Install "B", then you will access all of the Game Files within the Install "B". **** Unless you do not follow my installation suggestions and let the WINDOWS REGISTRY dictate how you will use your files.
If you do plan to be creative with your game, then the CREATIVE thing you must do first is... Create a
Blitzkrieg Project Folder and Install the game again. ** On XP (only), you can simply perform a copy/paste - Copy the original game and contents to a new folder.
I strongly recommend that you not make changes to the original Blitzkrieg Title if you plan to play Multiplayer. You will not be able to log in with other players when the Game files are checked for consistency. So this is a perfect example of why you do need a Project Folder. The name does not matter, as long as you know what it is and the purpose.
I maintain all of the Original Games, and in most cases more than one Project Folder. Most of my work is performed under Rolling Thunder, so I prefer to work in what has become the BH-RT Folder, but my projects are designed to work under any Title. My Project Source Files are not maintained in the BH-RT or Rolling Thunder Folder. This is very important. Do not mix your
Source Files and the
Resource Files. You must use another method to store your Working Source Files.
Source Files? These are the files you create or use to build a final Resource File. The two terms and purposes should not be confused. A Resource File is what the game will use... the Source File is what that Resource File is derived from.
If you plan to change your game... thus becoming an Artist... then I strongly recommend you download the Blitzkrieg Editor Source Files from my MediaFire Page. ------>
