Thanks Major..Yes,i have allways wanted to learn the mysteries of allmighty xml files..so i can alter some units to my likeing.. It is sometimes actually quite fun, but sometimes..NOT. The 1.xml list above helps alot..

ehy finlander there's in BHRT anthology data folder a file called 00_todt_patch.pak where there's the xml of that weapon there's also in the laplataservicegold.pak

Hey Guys! The ground attack planes in Kursk have allways been pretty weak when it comes to the cannons. I would like to make them more leathal like they were in real life. Now they wont even scratch the weaker tanks.. So my question is: In the weapon file, what value do i need to ghange..is it "piercing" or "damage power" or..? Thanks

Well the problem is that the GAP wont even try to shoot tanks in Kursk so wich one is it? Damage..or penetration or both?

Probably both, but penetration is essential to cope with top armor values.

finlanderCan you provide one of the ground attack plane folders to me... just tell me what it is or zip the folder and send to my email. I'll look to it and see what is going on. I suspect the weapons file is incorrect or wrong weapon is assigned. Another factor is... what can the plane see? Sometimes the artist forgets to set the sight to 30 and it reads zero (0). This is especially true if the ground attack was copied from a fighter and renamed. There are several things to change in the 1.xml before they will function correctly.

That is very true Major but i already fixed it .. My next guestion is for the ground attack planes also..Those planes that have a bomb, have a annoying problem! When they dive and release the bomb(s) it will always fall short. Meaning that they wont hit their targets almost every time.. Is there a value that could ghange this?

Unfortunately, the bombs is an effect issue... they do track to the ground, but the sprites just don't seem to fall all the way down. I have not looked into this to try to resolve... but i think it is a time issue in how long the effect lasts. But again, without knowing the weapon file used, it could also be watered down somewhat...

This could be a issue with the aircraft type setting or the weapon files.

several xml file about aircrafts have incorect <AIClass> parameter, change that parameter in <AIClass>human<AIClass>. obviously, check also if the weapons used by the aircraft are inside the /weapons folder of the mod you're working on. thank you major.

..and here we go again..the M16_GMC AA will not fire upon planes but humans it will. I have tried to ghange the weapons file of: 12.7MM_M2TTHB_4 its "pearcing" and "damage " values but no go..? I have also increased the "sight" value from the 1xml but no go!
Advice needed..

i don't know, but i think to can work the thing you're looking for, planes should fly to a lower high
