My old rigg died so built a new one with win10. GZM crashes every hour or so ( game has stopped working, windows will try find a solution and so on) Anyone else with this problem with win10? Back in the good old days there was the dual core patch, is there a quad core patch?
Amazing after a couple of months without playing BK it is fun as h... again.

Did you install it in the Windows Program files folder ? Please read this. And no there isn't any quadcore patch, the dualcore patch was mainly useful for some AMD processors, and not all as what i know.

Hi Scyooff
Nope installed it in my F: Games folder back when I used XP. Still use the same HDD. Worked fine with XP but not so nice with Win10.

Try this set of fixes:
- Execute in compatibility mode for Windows XP (SP2, not 3)
- Set affinity to the "0" core of the processor (mine's a Pentium R G3250 3.20Ghz Dual Core)
- Use 16-bit reduced color mode
- Run software as Administrator
- Disable display scaling on high DPI settings - Include the entire package (Game launcher, map editor and reseditor) as a Data Execution Prevention exception. If running Anthology, include all 3 versions (B1, BH and RT). You should end up with 9 exceptions then
- If you use Steam or some other online platform, run the game directly from the PC; disable all instances of said platform immediately after launch
- Close all other applications before launch and during play time
Been running the game - Vanilla with lots of mods; Crimson Fields, Crimson Skies; and GZM 7.77.3, these last two as separate installs - for about 5 months now without a hitch.

Hi Warlord
Will try with your suggestions. Does not use Steam. Almost all crashes happens when I hit F5 or do a save.

Well, as I wrote before, after a long run of crashes and freezes, I have been playing without a single problem for a long time now, in fact, ever since I use this measures.
