To avoid the lack, or worst, the lost of interest in this game throw the years, i meet everybody here have a project about a map to realize, or have an unfinished map stored somewhere in the oblivion, to share own work with everybody are interested in continue, improve or finalize what already done. Sometimes people don't finish or share own work because unsatisfied or not properly convinced about the result, or because lack of knowledge in any aspect like scripting.
In this sense the cooperation could be planned between two or more guys who coordinate their efforts for a common final result, or a solist could decide to take the draft-map and make own variant and reither for a different platform than what decided in the beginning by the first. Another choose could be the re-making of a released 'old' map by two or more guys, breaking down the time consuming more and more. Or reither, and i wouldn't believe was thing of other times, two or more guys can organize themself to make a new chapter of maps. What realized here in the times in terms of models, skins, resources, is absolutly impressive and would be a sacrilege downstimate.
Mat offered a great opportunity with WW2 'base' mod for all the guys with Kursk affinity who want make own paks of units or resources, spending basically no time to have what they wanted add to a finalized game's platform. BB, Tedi88 (forgive me if i mention you) and kan (or something similar) realized scenarios to play together of a certain complexity in term of quantity and quality. Hoping with this thread to evoke a light of inspiration in anyone here is in love with the game.

I would love to support Mats Base mod, but i dont really understand how i add my resources to the mod? Do i just create a pak that people have to download when they want to play my maps? Doesnt that create a confusing amount of additional content that will make the game unstable?

it's like you make a patch to the mod instead make the whole mod. you don't touch sensitive files like the xmls of the wepons, sounds, effects, etc, you have just to shedule the best part, add the units/resources you need for the scenarios you're going to create. confusion is avoid because each one make its own pak, and anyway more paks can be alligned easly by one of the modder or the Admin of ww2basemod, who can be Mat or elected throw democratic election jokes a part, team work isn't an obstacle if a team exists .. sure, who decide to add pak to the mod should know which resources still exist in the mod, just to avoid double items. if i was you Stan, instead continue to follow the old granpa i would move on the son, it's cleaned, already with the experience of its predecessors, and young, which mean part of a new more advanced generation !!

try like this @stanenberg : 1. use 7zip 2. mark all pakfiles and choose extract here. Done. The whole Mod is extracted. Now add what you want and create a new Pak.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did it because of several reasons to split it into 10 parts. If someone is interested why, extract each pak into a seperated Folder and when you know about BK Game Engines Folderstructure you know what i mean. Its for Pro´s only

Well, my only suggestion is, if anybody makes a new chapter/campaign, please add some autos to the map as core, like in Panzerkrieg. So a player may have some trucks/halftrucks as recon or auxiliary units. (so Sdkfz-251's and M3's has some more meaning).
While I am unsure to change BMW-75 and armoured cars to "AUTO", therefore player have still some light and a maximum number of heavy units without punishing himself.
