Thanks The UK guys are wearing the Beret. The US guys wear the GI Helmet rather than the Tanker Helmet. Skins can not be swapped. I thought I'd show the inside... the crew doubles the model file size because of the huge number of polys. I had to use a few tricks to keep these within a reasonable file size range, and make it possible to open in the Tanks Viewer. The previous models would not work in Tanks... Note: The US models had a crew of 7. The UK had a crew of 6.

Whoops, I just noticed the UK M7 has no Engine Deck vents and fuel caps... that might affect how it runs a bit...

Well guys... here is something you don't hear everyday. I was working in my yard at home on Saturday and received a bite from a Copperhead Snake. He got me right above the ankle. This is the 7th time this kind of snake has bitten me. So a trip to the hospital, and a dose of adrenalin and benadryl for the swelling, with a few days of swelling and pain will follow.... Shouldn't be a big deal.. unless a I develop some necrosis or gangrene. Needless to say, the snake did not survive the encounter, so it was far more deadly for him than me. I have been bitten by two other snakes over the years, Sidewinder Rattlesnake and a water moccasin, which were far more painful and caused more concern of death or gangrene Images of a copperhead, not the actual snake... we didn't think about that until later...

Not a big deal... we've been dealing with this for years...

NOTICE: OK guys... I hate to do this but I must recall all of the 2nd Generation US M7 Priest and the UK Priest Kangaroo. These are the ones with the II in the upper left corner of the icon.tga. This issue does not affect the 2nd Generation Ram Kangaroo. There are significant issues with the models and while they share a common platform, these do not share the same base model. They may work in the present form, but additional testing has detected a significant crash issue due to the Animation sequence D02. Both base models have the D02 Death Animation, but the Animation Files should have D01 through D07... each is a different animation sequence. D02, D05, and D07 are missing from both models, and each has additional missing data. If the game engine cannot find D02, it will not try to access D03, D04 and so on... 4 out of 10 times when the random Death Animation is called, the game will crash, which one might assume was caused by some other issue. Further Tests show the crash occurs about 2 minutes after the game engine randomly calls animation D02, and the game.exe tries to discard the model from the Database. The issue was first detected in BETA but not reported as directly linked to the Priest. Further tests shows that both models share the same animation sequence references but different animation data. This is where the conflict begins. If you have a crash and can read the error or log report, it will show Stack Overflow at Memory Location FFFxxxxx. The Memory Location is System Specific and will be dependant on many variables, so I cannot describe exactly what you may see. Basically what is happening is the actual animation sequence does not complete due to an error in the last frame. The final frame was not actually written and does not include the sequence ending key. The game.exe is still trying to complete the animation when it finally dumps the error into the Stack. The actual time may be around two minutes but again can be shorter or longer depending on your machine. So if you have either or both of these models, remove them or do not try to include them in a map. There are 3 Priests and 1 Kangaroo affected. Kangaroo 1.mod is dated 1/17/2014. Priest 1.mod files are dated 6/13/2014. I must Thank gagarin for his part in the detection, not because he discovered the actual issue, but because he requested a modification on the Priest. When I had made the modification, and was completing the animation, it was not showing up during export. The issue was was further investigated and testing confirmed the crash reports from several players. I and others were not certain that a model was causing a crash, it was assumed a map or some other common factor might be causing it. But it appears that some of the animation data was not properly written on the final export. This clearly shows up in the 1.xml if you understand where the animation code is written. Several </item> key tags are missing, but without breaking out the code, you would never know it. The Kangaroo is missing 4 keys, the Priest is missing 5 keys. What is interesting about this is they use the same data... so something occurred during the data transfer during the model build. I'm still not sure what caused the issue, but one thing points to a corrupt file in my library files. That particular Animation file does not contain all of the data for those two models. As far as I am aware, these are the only models affected because of the unique animation sequences. These would unlikely be used for anything else and were re-used from the Generation I Kangaroo and Priest. Testing on the Generation I Models shows both are ok. I'm working to resolve this issue today. Since neither model was released in a huge Series, the most likely source would have been through Von Osten's additional Skin release. This in no way was caused by Von Osten, This was entirely my oversight and missed by various testors. This does happen from time to time and I remind everyone to please forward any issues to me on any of my work. Once the updated models are ready, I will post a message. I will send interested players the replacements through Email with New Texture UVs... Unfortunately, the skins already released will not work since the model repairs are now based on the very same base model, plus incorporate gagarin's request... and some new additional parts. But as most of you are already aware, my UV Mapping is consistent and easy to modify. I expect VO will rebuild new skins upon his return, and gagarin has already expressed that he plans the same. So stay tuned... I'm sorry for this issue... stuff just happens...
