In the last weeks I have been working on a map for GZM 7. I started a 22/22 map from scratch with help of Ocelo's mapping guide and Richard's step by step guide. (Thanks for that! It was very helpfull!) The map is almost complete but I need to do some testing and some finishing touches. For example, get that bloody train to go over the bridge! I never scripted a map before and I have downloaded some guide's too but It's not easy I add some printscreens to give you a general idea of my work. If anyone is interested in scripting it, please let me know and I send it to you! I will give it a try myself too.

You can upload your printscreen to Image Shack Host. It's quite easy and fast.

imageshack.us/g/824/shot0026xo.jpg/Thanks Kevin! Hereby the link to the screenshots. I made them randomly all over the map to give you an idea of what it looks like. Again, if you are interested I will send you the pak file. You can then change whatever you like and use it. Please share your thoughts.

Well, that's certainly good for a start! In the future, you may want to increase the complexity of your maps; the more curly the roads/rivers are, the more real-life it seems. Often, that comes with increased map size as well, but it doesn't have to. Another huge factor is unit placement and mission complexity, but that's later. For now, focus on scripting. I have found that the BKP script generator provides an excellent start: www.mediafire.com/?ejzwmuwzzdmAfter you get that together, you'll want to hijack a custom mission made by someone else, and replace its contents with yours, modifying the number of objective texts, altering the 1.xml, etc. You can also look around in this folder for anything you may not have yet: www.mediafire.com/?km4tiuj8h3b4d Best of luck and progress!

Getting the train to go over the bridge is an illusion. It doesn't go over the bridge, it follows the track hidden underneath the bridge.
Key points are two: - Make sure there is connected track all the way under the bridge from one side to the other; - Make sure your track lines up with the bridge track at either end of the bridge; if the train still won't go over the bridge, shift the track at the bridge ends a tiny bit toward the top of the map.

Thanks for the feedback and the tips guys!
I will dive into how to script and when it is done I will upload the map somewhere. Someone interested in testing it?
Thanks again!
