I made an update for the chapter. This link contains chpater .pak and custom resources .pak www.mediafire.com/download/6xvlc71v3io1bqp/[GZM7.5]Staljingrad_v1.02.zipWhat is new? Improved aviation script. Now you can call more often different types of aviation while you are waiting for your bombers to refill. Same goes for the enemy. Small script fix in last mission: one map area was missing.

I'm in the 4th mission (Karashev), where I must take the bridges intact and keep defend it of the german attacks. I could capture the bridge, but in the German counter-attack the enemy artillery allways hit the detonator (I think the enemy AI is aiming the detonator by script) and the bridge is allways destroyed! How should I proceed to win this objective?

How should I proceed to win this objective? Artillery is shelling in random circle. I guess you were just unlucky for detonators to get hit. Also, you can disable all detonators with engineers. In few days I will be done with my real life work till late August so I can continue Winter storm chapter. First of 6 missions is complete and I will soon post screenshots and maybe some gameplay video. Thanks for interesr.

As I promissed, here is my review: First, the chapter is a very interestant contribution to our collection about the Stalingrad Battle, it's feature are the Operation Uranus missions, which were less explored in other campaigns (as GPW and MC). Some missions are inspired in the Stalingrad game and once GZM gameplay is very similar, the gaming immersion is very close the original game. Also you wont have core units (which I think is a pitty). 1) Mission 1: Very well designed, starts with a deffensive objective, protecting the wharf, after that you will need to recapture the entire citty, untill the Mamayev Kurgan hills. Almost just infantry combat, with a very good use of the terrain, very challenging objectives. There are two issues, however, some randoms(?) counter-attacks became a little previsable after some time, also there are some German snipers which instists in being "teletransported" in the middle of the map and they were simple killed by my forces. 2) Mission 2: Deffense of Red October Factory, good map, simple in the execution, short in the lenght, and not very hard. 3) Mission 3: Brakethrough of the Romanian lines. Very interesting use of the time limit in the script. The player have just one hour to finish the mission, in general I'm not a big fan of this kind of mission, but in this map the "time factor" is very well balanced, I could finish the mission 5 minutes before the end, rushing my infantry to capture the final village. 4) Mission 4: The Kalach Town. Well this is, IMO, the best mission of the chapter, the soviet deception to capture the bridge is well executed, but I had problems with the detonators destroyed all the time by AI artillery before I could bring my engineers to deactivate it. Even reloading several times, the bridges invariably got blocked by some enemy destroyed hull and I could not bring my engineers to deactivate the detonator. Finally I could deactivate it sending one tank to smash the detonator with the tracks. Eliminating the German artillery wasnt easy either, and I could do it thanks to my fighters planes and mortars. The last objective, capturing the citty was nice too, once the map was well build. 5) Mission 5: Marinovka. Well, in the description of this mission is told "The [Russian] bombardment was so intense that Colonel Ignatov, an artillery commander, remarked with grim satisfaction: 'There are only two ways to escape from an onslaught of this character- either death or insanity...'", however, this will be the experience of the player [which are playing with the Russians] cause the main challenge of this mission is to deal with the German artillery. I'm of the opinion the mapper most not overdo in AI artillery, cause the best option is work in the terrain and units placements to got a good challenge to the player. Still, in the context of the chapter, this "artillery madness" fitt well. 6) Mission 6. Closing the ring in Stalingrad. Now is time to eliminate the last pockets of enemy forces in the citty. Again, a very good experience in street fighting and some interesting visual effects when capturing the prisioners. Said this, I must hail this chapter and their developers ( ecan and tedi88 ). I put this work at the same level of some of the best works of the community (as Mr.Frost chapters, for example). My rating is: Historical Acuracy: 10 Map design: 9 Scripts: 10 Fun: 9,5 Extras: N. A. In general: 9,6 Some final remarks: In one of the missions (cant remember which one) the AI player is defined as Russian so the artillery crews are Russians. In mission 1 and 6 the player should receive more engineers trucks because is easy to lost then with the ruins debris and the consequent problems with the path finders. The aviation could be explored a little more in some of the missions.
