I live in France in the department of "Oise" .... It is an area with many Beet field (for sugar) , that was "la campagne" forest and fields beautiful place. I live not far from Compiègne .... -----------------a little bit History Moment ON November 11, 1918: In forest of Compiegne, in a wagon in the middle of a forest, near Rethondes signed between France and Germany Armistice 1918 in the presence of Marshal Foch and General Weygand In the same place, built in the meantime clearing called Rethondes clearing or clearing of the Armistice, and in the same wagon in 1918, was signed June 22, 1940 the armistice between France and Germany represented by the French delegation headed by General Huntziger sent by Marshal Pétain and Germany represented by Marshal Keitel. Adolf Hitler and many German officials have moved the day before the inaugural day of trading Armistice. On June 24 1940, on the orders of Hitler, the wagon is conveyed by road to Berlin, where it faces one week before the Brandenburg Gate, then to Lustgarten where people can visit and contribute to the German Relief. The site of the clearing of Rethondes is leveled, dismantled monuments and plowed and cultivated area by order of Hitler. The wagon was evacuated from Berlin in 1944, is sheltering in Thuringia, next to Ruhla then Ohrdruf. It is burned not far away at Crawinkel by the SS in April 1945, on the orders of Hitler as a result of the advance of Allied troops. -----------------a little bit History Moment Off I am a survivor of BKportal (never forget those guy's) ...and you where do you live?
