Great news although i don't support Steam (i have an account though). But Green Devils, Barbarossa and Total Challenge are commercial products, not mods, am i wrong? Did something happen to the status of them?

The interesting thing about the STEAM download is the inclusion of Total Challenge by INtex.

The multiple command feature is a little quirky in Great Battles Of WW2:Stalingrad. I have yet to be able to get a truck towing an artillery piece to move to a certain location and dismount the artillery piece. It always moves to the specified location and just stops. And multiple way points for aircraft does not work either. There is no patch that I know of for that game.

Hi Major Johnson, if you try to give several waypoints to a bomber or for dropping paratroopers it don't work, even in Stalingrad waypoints for recon, ground attack or fighter planes must work BUT you absolutely must let your finger on the Shift key when you assign waypoints, concretely you click on the planes menu then choose recon planes (per example) press (and let press) Shift key, assign waypoints with the right click of your mouse then unhand the Shift key, the planes goes to the first waypoint then the second and per example if you just have assigned two waypoints they return to the first waypoints then the second then the first, etc... until they return to the base (or being destroyed) . If i'm not wrong (it must be confirmed by someone) you can give a dozen of waypoints for planes.

The terrain tiles have much to do with passibility. Artillery Guns are finicky at times on some terrain tiles. Drive a truck across it and see if it avoids it. My bet is it will drive around it.

I was only trying to get a truck to move to a location on the same type of terrain then have it turn so the AA gun was facing a certain direction, then unmount the AA gun. 3 commands. It wasn't very many tiles. It always worked fine in BK. This is an across the board issue with multiple commands to any type of unit.

Sometime when I get the time, I will discuss more detail about the terrain tiles and how they can be used for invisible blocks. The terrain tile may look the same, but you can add what is called the base value under the last tile laid down. That has been a definable aspect since the beginning of Blitzkrieg and the enigma game engine. CDV and La Plata even have these, but not to the extent of Stalingrad.
Look at a desert map in the BK-BH Rommel Champaign. This was incorporated all over the maps.

Now I don't know if this is the right topic to post in, so please move it if it's out of place.
Recently (I don't know how many of you know about this) I had problems reading Cyrillic script in missions. It would show those small blocks instead of text.
Also when installing anything that has, say a Russian Cyrillic it would be encoded. So I searched the web a little and found a simple solution.
Solution for Windows 7:
1. Click on Start menu
2. Choose Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Change display language
3. Click Administrate tab -> Change system locale…
4. Choose your Cyrillic based language (in my case Russian) -> Ok
5. Restart your PC (it will ask you to restart PC)
and voila. Cyrillic letters appear normally both in lua editor and in game. Also no more encoded stuff.
However, I would like to ask those who are more knowledgeable than me, is there any downside in keeping System locale in other language? Will it affect other programs etc?
I didn't have problems with it, but I just want to be sure.

I presume the square issue happen in .lua files when you open it with the Scite Editor ? It happen to me too, try to open your file with Notepad++ Don't forget to select the localizations checkbox before ending the install process. Edit : Or in the case where i don't have understand your question very well and that's happen in the game, you must to have the fonts (they're in the fonts folder in data.pak and textures.pak) from the russian version of the game, i can send them to you.

I belive you misunderstood me. I'm familiar with both issues you mentioned. They are easily fixed. Also this is somewhat different. A square issue I'm talking about, is caused by Lua "DisplayTrace". See even if you have russian version of BK, if the text in lua was written in Cyrillic it will display squares. So or example: DisplayTrace(" 24. Aвгуст 1944. у близини реке Прут");* In game it would only be squares. I couldn't fix this by using Russian version of game. So only solution to see those texts in game is to change System locale language to Russian. In that case you will be able to see those perfectly in game. You will also see them normally in Lua editor (Scite). Only downside: is that in BK if you change this it won't read Display traces written in English. So you would have to change it again to English. **** Note, this is Serbian not Russian, but the bolded part is what appears as squares in game. EDIT: It also solves both issues you mentioned above, as well.
