romanian infantry i love this helmet antique-photos.com/en/unidatabase/kingdom-of-romania/429-romanian-steel-helmets.htmlDue to necessity of better protection of military personnel from cavalry and mountain troops Romania ordered 800,000 German M35 steel helmets by the end of 1942. In fact these helmets were provided by the Germans on early stages of the Operation Barbarossa throughout the war but seemingly it was a local initiative of German field commanders who issued limited quantities of headgear to their Romanian allies in areas of joint operations.

Soldier of the Pos'yet Frontier Guards Detachment of the NKVD troops of the USSR. He is armed a 7.62mm Mosin-designed rifle of the 1891/1930 model. His cartridge pouches are of a pre-revolutionary model (they refer to times before 1917). One can see supporting shoulder belts as part of the arming. The service coat has a low-cut welt strip with three buttonholes according to the NKVD model. The service cap has a dark-green top, its cap band being of a very dark shade of blue bordering on black colour, and crimson piping. On the service coat one can see a "Voroshilov marksman" badge. Vicinity of Lake Khasan. July 1938. [2] Squad leader of the Red Army's 2nd Mechanised Brigade that belonged to the 39th Rifle Corps. gagarin in this video below, the soldier with the ppsh dress a cap for which i would have reserved to the riflemen of the 1930s period, like the pics above show, and in squad, combine them with polish shooters and strahfbat models. this cap seems those used by commissars. now, i thinked to used strafbat and mosin models for riflemen in 1941 squads. should i add an element with this damned cap which rise in me several doubts? combat officer, wich is different to that used for FBO formation or OFFICER SQUAD, is the nkvd model from stalingrad, so it already reprise, as element of the squad, that cap and blue colours in the uniform. (anyway i don't see him so practice in handle the SMG but i could catch his satisfation when he shoots )

Ariete, I looked video. There's all right. This restoration soldier NKVD troops (after 1943) with a submachine gun PPS-43. Service cap had just a sample of the NKVD.
In Stalingrad - yes, there is a great officer of the NKVD. But the representative of the NKVD - is not a political commissar, not to be confused. NKVD - a function of law enforcement (police).
Infantry troops of the NKVD may be left in their helmets. They are in a combat zone wearing helmets. Only the boots (ботинки с обмотками) of the original infantryman with a rifle Mosin be replaced by Boots of (сапоги).

thank you for the keys gagarin. so : ssh36 The M-36 was worn by Soviet soldiers in several campaigns of the late 1930s and 1940s, including the Khalkin Gol campaign against the Japanese in 1938 (giving it the nickname "Khalkingolka"),[1] the Finnish Winter War of 1939-1940, the 1939 invasion of Poland, the 1940 invasions of the Baltic states and Bessarabia, and in World War II, or as it is known in Russia, the Great Patriotic War. It was also distributed to the Republican soldiers of the Spanish Civil War in conjunction with Soviet support of the Spanish government. During the Finnish Winter War, the cold temperatures forced many soldiers to tear out the helmet's liner so the ushanka, or fur hat, would fit under the metal shell. Production of the M-36 ended in 1941. ssh39 - 40 is that used by the game for USSR soldiers

Ariete, ssh36 - military history of the helmet ends in September 1945. Some parts of the Far Eastern Military District, who took part in the war against Japan, were equipped with this type of helmet.
ssh39-40 - Yes, the game, the Soviet infantry, this type of helmet. But with such a size of infantry, the difference between helmets (ssh36/39-40) invisible.
"Grot", fighting fire - He appears, based on a French helmet?

i readed since 1943 german troops were equiped with a new field cap, the Visored field cap (Einheitsfeldmütze) M43, which anyway didn't go to substitute the old bustina Side cap (Feldmütze) M34/M38/M42, the most used until the end of the war (last version 1942 - M42), photo below. the m1943 was similar to the Bergmütze, the cap used by the mountain troops. i watched in many photos it was much used also by the volksturmm. the M 1940 field cap is similar to M43, but i saw it used to the infantries just in africa. someone could confirm? i mean that kind of cap wasn't part of the german european uniform of the infantries until 1943.
