How to go from here?

Dear Members,

Now that MP has sadly passed away, we need to keep this site running!
I think this is what MP would wish for as well.

But we ran into a problem; who will moderate this site?

There used to be Aleksandar, or 'Aleksej Fon Grozny',the founder of this site, but he is allmost never active on this site anymore. I tried to contact/trace him, but I have no trace, or clue where to look. All tracks of him are lost and I don't remember his real name. If anyone knows more about how to contact him, please do so! We need the moderator access code!!

Now comes a more 'tricky part'...
In past, MP mentioned his son Chad or 'Centurion' to fall in at moments needed. He  mentioned many times about how Centurion would take care as a temporary replacement moderator, and how the guy who would look after MP's tank model legacy...

I tried to contact Chad, not for the first time btw, but he never reply's on my mail.
Also notable is that there was no message from Chad about what happened to the major! I have strong reason to believe, MP 's family was never involved on this site, and "Centurion" was a fictional person...

So that leaves us with some questions to answer: how to gain access to the moderator part, and who will be moderating the lot.
And how will the tank legacy of major be guarded and taken care of?

Aleksej worked in Panzerkrieg, his name appears in the credits in the ending of the game. The problem is I dont have panzerkrieg in my PC anymore, but someone who have can check it. So, is a question to someone look for his name in that file and find here in facebook, or something. Also we have some serbian memebers here (like tedi88), who can help us to track him.

Contacting Aleksandar is good, contacting Aleksandar with some proposal is better.

My proposal for moderator is Big Joe. He proved to be a good and patient person and he is present on this site almost every day. IMHO, those are qualities fit to chill out fires and to take actions when and where needed.

My proposal for MP legacy is that persons MP designated to be taught and/or to be testers keep on their work but en plein air.
I mean, MP decided to keep secret on those persons in order to work quietly and without annoyances but, now, without MP, they could need help from the comunity.

Yes, VO pointed out some tricky things but I think we need to wait some time.
After all this is a game and in these days relatives have others, unpleasant, things to look after.
Let's wait, I'm quite confident that something will happen.

I agree that Big Joe should be the one to take over. Yes, he is a good and patient person without doubt.

For now we self regulate, we know what the rules are.

Before we start pointing people, first solve the problem. Aleksandar has a word in this too, I suppose.
And if we choose a moderator, maybe the first thing would be that people step forward themselves?
Then the discission must be made, but let us beware of conflicts in this matter!

The moderator will need the technical and people skills to preside this forum. The formal language of this forum is English but in practice it is multilingual. (members speak different dialects ) 
The last months we as a community have shown that there is little need for a moderator to intervene but still a forum needs at least one moderator.
Besides the above mentioned skills the moderator will also need time and dedication.

I suggest to appoint 2 moderators to avoid the situation we are in now. This also has the advantage that future moderators could consult before taking irreversible decisions. But as vonosten wrote, Alexander may also have a say in this.

I know both his real name and surname, last i heard about him though was in May last year when he had a lecture in Belgrade about IT.

Haven't heard anything about him after that. I can ask some of my friend who "claimed" to know him. No promises though i'll be able to track him down.

Btw his real name is Aleksandar Djokic. 

EDIT: I just saw gagarin's post. 6sic6 might be a better guy to ask. He knew Aleksej better than me.

I would agree with Quintaxel his proposals seem quite logic for me too.
