Guys.... Thanks. I am quite humbled by your thoughts and concerns. But I'm not done yet.
Yep, I didn't think I would make it. I got hit hard and went down a while back. I'm just not as young as I once was and my old ticker just decided to remind me that the end of the road is alot closer than the beginning. About two weeks ago, I had to have the docs go back in and take care of some more plumbing issues. That has me kinda tired.
I haven't been around to check in, but thanks to my daughter who brought me a laptop, I was able to find my way here.
Take some advice from an old guy. Write your passwords down on the inside of your eyelids, or other handy place. I foregot mine and had a little trouble remembering what mine was. The drugs and bad food in this place doesn't help with memory loss.
But my daughter help me find where I had sent it to myself in an email. So I did something right I guess.
But I let the community down due to my unscheduled vacation. Once I get back to my surroundings and can get some strength back, I'll get back to work.
Now you know why things didn't go as planned.
One more piece of advice: Life is too short to waste time worrying about little issues. We all come from different places on this planet. Some of us live in places that others never heard of until they joined this community. And we remind ourselves just how small, how global our world has become. You all are much better for having this knowledge. Just as BK binds us into a community, it is still your combined efforts that makes it work. You are the glue. I know I am much better for having the opportunity to work with some of you. And even if we had a disagreement, it just a small thing and not to be personal on my part. To those of you that I angered, insulted or hurt... please accept my apology. I respect you for you. The future belongs to you guys. All I ask is you do the best you can, and you will do us all proud.
Now having said all of that dribble stuff... I must thank my good friend mongo.
Before I was to undergo this latest adventure, (guys wearing masks standing over me holding sharp objects), I had sent him what I believed might be my last email. While I didn't try to give him the impression of what I felt, I did tell him to kinda hold the front down for me. And he did. I know I made it hard on him and he waited as long as he could to speak about my situation.
So mongo... thanks old friend. Sorry I put you through that. But you and I were cut from the same cord of wood. Working in the occupation that we chose, we learn to expect sudden, unexpected and particularly nasty things. But we train to just deal with it. Doesn't mean we like it or it doesn't effect us. Just means when we have a job to do, it gets done. So save a seat for me on the tiller brother. Soon I will back to bring up the rear. (Only a firefighter could understand what I just said.)
Now you guys get back to work and build something... I don't have all day waiting for you guys to pick up the production. And don't worry about me. You guys take care of that important stuff... build a tank, make a map, use your talents and just do something creative.
