As mapper you can play a little bit with day and night-time on a map if you use Rolling Thunder or Anthology. If add in script ChangeFoxWar ChangeWarFog(2) you will give a night-time /pre-dawn feeling. If later included in the script ChangeFoxWar ChangeWarFog((0) you get day-time. This command only seem to work for Rolling Thunder/Anthology (above image) and not regular BK (lower image). Edit 29-1-2022 not true, you can do for both see this post how to implement correctly.

Did you try ChangeWarFog(2) as command for vanilla?
Edit: Nevermind

Yes, used ChangeWarFog. ChangeFoxWar is a type mistake.

That's the method I used for night and for scheduled rain storms. For the night scenario I tried to make street lamps belong to player to see if they would "light up" to no avail.

Work it out!
You need to set password before you use ChangeWarFog. As you have two possible passwords in BK you have do this twice! So you have working for all possible users.
Make night-time
Password("Panzerklein"); ChangeWarFog(2); Password("www.dtf.ru"); ChangeWarFog(2);
If want to have that airforce is only aviable during the day then you should add bad weather to the night and good weather to day
Night
SwitchWeather(1); --bad weather SwitchWeatherAutomatic(0); -- no change of weather Password("Panzerklein"); ChangeWarFog(2); --night Password("www.dtf.ru"); ChangeWarFog(2); --night
Make daylight
Day
SwitchWeather(0); --good weather Password("Panzerklein"); ChangeWarFog(0); --day Password("www.dtf.ru"); ChangeWarFog(0); --day
