Development of GZM 11

Hello community, in the official GZM forum a PDF file was published (in russian) which confirms GZM 11 and summarizes the new features.

It seems that this time there is an official English translation for the mod, but there is no mention of how extensive it is.

Interesting should be among other things the many new features for modders, for example, a solution was found to integrate multiple campaigns within the campaign menu! The GZM team speaks here of 9 in the number so far. On page 11 in the document a new BK directory system is mentioned, the modobject.xml file is no longer used or necessary!

The many new features/solutions that outsmart or extend the BK engine could be very interesting for any modder.

Thank you very much for heads up! It looks promising from I can see. Each GZM gets better and better, disregard historical inaccuracy or HP of units but from gamers perspective. You can still mod it the way you desire.

Hello everyone! I'm glad to announce that GZM 11 is now officially released.

GZM is distributed as a standalone game with its own installer, so you don't need original Blitzkrieg game, as well as previous GZM verison.

Version 11 comes with English localization. However, it does not cover 100% of game texts.

Translation includes:

• user interface;
  
• descriptions of campaigns, chapters and missions;
  
• missions objectives;
  
• names of units and objects.
  

What wasn't translated:

• descriptions of units (encyclopedia);
• scripted texts (which are sometimes printed in top left corner of the mission screen).

To install localization, select corresponding option during installation of the game:

If you forgot to do so - don't worry, localization pack will still be in game resources, in Data_optional folder. After install, you can manually copy it to Data folder.

Please note that this localization was done mainly with Google Translate service, so it's far from perfect. But I hope it's enough to enjoy the game

Windows Defender claims that the setup.exe contains malware. Does anyone else have this problem? I downloaded from google drive.

I had trouble with  MEGA (it was to large for my browser). I then tried Yandesk. I had no trouble downloading all 8 BIN file and SETUP.EXE. Select one, downloading and the selecting the next one downloading etc.

With all downloaded I starting up the setup chosing English. Windows then gave a warning that didnt want to execute this file as it was "not safe" .  I then selected to ignore this warning and selected  "do it anyway" (My windows is set in Dutch so what precise text in the english if would not know)
 
It all worked. I also tried the mapeditor which took a very long time to launch but in the end it was up and running.

A great complement to hole GZM team with this beautiful well worked out new release.

Windows Defender is oversuspicious sometimes, other antiviruses don't detect anything. You can add setup folder to exceptions or even disable Defender until you install the game.

good to see game and missions loading time is very fast now , also spinning wheels on models is nice add-on.
So far so good after removing Voodoo tool which gave me some crashes in U.S. Campaign.

I keep getting a run around.

Put it all in a single folder on the desktop, including the start up, it begins to open-I get thru everything ok, till I hit install.
Then it tells me it can not find the folder and I need to choose another folder or insert the disk.

Can anyone advise on what I am doing wrong? I put it all in my documents and still got the same response-choose a different folder or insert the disk.

after unzipping whole thing you should have 8 "disks" Bin files, put them in one folder then when installer ask you for a disk choose disk 1 (Bin 1 )

Still no luck-same run around. I end up with-C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\GZM11\setup-1.bin and still same response as above.

I got to go-installing in "games". Also re download the startup-that seemed to help. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

I installed the whole bunch a single external ssd dirive, and everything worked smoothly. Now I´m delving in the mmany missions, chapters and campaigns. Supherb work, indeed! Congratulations and many thanks, comrades!

Bug report on U.S. Campaign , after beach landing some equipment refuse to get inland ( drives around the shore hopelessly ) . Also when calling for recon aircraft I get fighters instead.
