Yes, I'm an addicted. Even today I almost play everyday, and I still think I'm a player before everything. To be sincere, since I learned a little about lua the game has lost some of its magic, but I can have a good time even now.
It's to be noted I didnt play much single player missions, meaby less than 50. And I never played multiplayer games.

I have played all missions/chapters/campaigns for: *BK1 (many, many, many times on the original campaigns). *BK2 (twice each camapign on easy, plus USSR camapign like 4 times) *TDA- all campaigns twice, USSR like 4 or 5 (on easy) *Stalingrad *Rolling Thunder (~3 times) *Burning horizon (~twice) *A very large majority of the SP maps released on BKP *Achtung Panzer! *Motherland calls (never finished- too many gameplay changes that I personally didn't like, but it had some good maps too).

Ok... my turn... Before I start, let me congratulate BB for his crowning moment, as I concur with kaoz and ricz, he is simply the winner. BB is an example of a guy that keeps telling us he is walking away, but never does. I get many of my ideas from guys like this.... and that is what keeps me fired up about what I do. If I can do something that will keep BB coming back, then I have had a great day. Of course, I'm not a mission or campaign guy. I prefer work on the outer fringes of the game dynamics. BB mentions once he learned a little about LUA, the game lost some of the magic. The LUA Code is what drives the AI and Mission dynamics, and we have only just scratched the surface in this area. There is much that has not been done that would greatly add to the AI and game dynamics if someone really wished to do something complex and challenging. Hey... if it was easy, everyone would do it... right? Out of all the guys over the years... perhaps two people stand out when trying to tweak the LUA Code: Leon and Louis XIV. A couple of others did wonderful work in the code as well. During the early years, a guy called Hit & Run asked some of the most intriguing questions and presented some unique ideas. I could go on... My own experiments were geared more for educational purposes and not for my own map releases. I'm not a good mapper in terms of what you guys want... mine are way too complex for most users since they tend to grind you down in the thinking process. That is where I prefer to spend my time. I use LUA to an extreme where maps will never play the same more than once, and even keep me guessing on my own stuff. The element of surprise and the vast number of possibilities as to how the AI will react to your play has not ever been fully exploited. And that is too bad. If someone would just accept this challenge, they would become the MASTER MAP Artist of all time and keep all of us so damn happy... So please someone step up! I digress... OK... back to topic: I'm dull, having only played BK Vanilla, RT, BH, GT, GW and MK and (1000s upon 1000s) of SP Maps and most members Chapters for RT & BH. I hate large mega-scale tank battles unless we're in Kursk, since few historically occurred. I don't count France and Poland during the Blitzkrieg. Those battles were mostly by accident and caused by inattentive Commanders. I enjoy maps/missions with limited resources and challenging objectives that must be secured, which may change as the mission unfolds. These types of missions present more of a challenge if the player tries to second guess the AI. I also like infantry based missions with limited support. I hate those missions where I can 'rush' the enemy and get through the objectives quickly. I prefer conditional Functions where I must preserve key elements in my army or I lose. This again has not been truly exploited, especially when someone codes the AI to use specific HUNTER-KILLER units which pursue the Players key units. Oh, you think this did not happen? You better read how many times the SS tried to take out Patton or Clark. Remember even Churchill was a target. The Mussolini Rescue is an excellent example of the extreme measures that were taken if it served a purpose. Imagine if Patton had been killed in Italy? Would the Bulge then turn out differently? Not that I'm into What if, let's do Alternative History... but I'm suggesting we can seriously look at the real dangers that existed in our maps; those defining moments that determined the history. We can do some things that pertain to moral, despite Moral not being a parameter in the game engine. What if your field commander is taken out, do your units then perform at their best? History is our guide, and in some cases entire armies capitulated, where others overcame overwhelming odds to win the day. It speaks to the basic inner truth of man and what he believes in. For Reference: Read about William 'the Bastard', or better known as the Conqueror, and the Battle of Hastings at your leisure where the two leaders were reported to be killed, and how that affected the outcome. Squire James can be quite useful here as every English school-aged student knows the story about William rallying his troops after he had been rumored killed. Sorry, I thought everyone enjoyed learning history here. And to BB... Thank you for keeping me charged up my old friend. It is guys like you that give guys like a me a purpose. You keep asking for the notch to be turned up and my job is to do that. So thanks for hanging out with us and doing what you do. You keep BK fresh with your excellent timing when asking questions like the one in this topic. And I am sorry to hijack your topic... Please proceed with the Topic Discussion and ignore this old fossil. Damn, you guys are going to make me release a chapter that will reduce to you to paper and pencil to solve.

I remember getting my hands on Blitzkrieg demo with three missions and I liked it so much I played them over and over again for 3 months!!before being able to buy full game. I was working at sea at that time. So I thought I was addict junkie Also I enjoy Africa theatre and think there is definitely not enough chapters and campaigns for that.

Here is my list and please don't laugh - BK all campaigns more than once - Rolling Thunder 2x - Burning Horizon 2x - Panzerkrieg all campaigns (my favourite) - Grey Tigers. - Green Devils complete - About 50 single maps. Started but never finished - Operation North German - Mission Barbarossa German - Mission Kursk German campaign - Stalingrad German campaign At this pace I will need a second life to get halfway bb's list. I know some lua and am intrigued by making intelligent scripts. Not that I'm very good at it. Unfortunately I have more ideas than time. Interesting to hear what other players like or dislike in maps or gameplay. I recognize the kind of elements Major Pain enjoys in maps. @ BB, As you played this impressive list of games I would value your opinion on Panzerkrieg.

My list of played is pretty much the same as the one compiled by bb. Differences are: - I never played Road to Smolensk, - 6th SS Ardennes made for Hagelsturm - though i played MK version, - I played all campaigns for TDA, though only once, - ROK: The aggression by mr.frost Tiger-Division Eisner Hagelsturm Ostfront Hagelsturm Seelow heights Hagelsturm Nicolussi Leck Hagelsturm Ardennenoffensive Hagelsturm Free Europe Hagelsturm Operation Overlord Hagelsturm SS-Viking: Kovel Road to Klin and Road to Leningrad from Stanenberg list. - Most of Ocelos single missions (for example Ukraine '44, Breakthrough '44, Manila, Budapest.....) and loads of MK single missions - Large part of Finlander work ( i can't even remember anymore what i played from him, Anzio, Normandy and Spring Awakening etc) - Also some chapter called "Soviet Rage" - HRA campaigns - GZM campaigns (though you can count them like vanilla if you wish) - Talvisota both campaigns, + some works from Brendel (those that had translations in English) - And i played most of these chapters at least two times (some even more then that)

Hi guys. ricz: thanks for the MVP title, but I presume tedi88 is more addict than I. LOL @major Pain: I use to replace original units by yours, specially in HF maps. But I'd like to see you doing maps, you can start with simple scripts, Dmitry M.scripts had 90-120 lines! Quintaxel: I think some mission in Panzerkrieg, specially in the German campaign, are really cool, but IMO most are too easy. The soviet campaign repeat most missions from red star chapter. Grot: have you tried Africa Mod by Ocelo? Also I played a big part of D-Day chapter to hagelsturm, GPW campaign, the german campaign of stalingrad, Soviet Rage, soviet campaign of Operation Apocalipse, 2 or 3 campaigns made by brendel and meaby something close to 50 single maps. I still believe that a good day is a day which I spent at least 30min to 1 hour playing Blitzkrieg.
