Okay, I've taken a look at it. It is rather plain, but it's definitely a start.
My first impression is that it looks rather barren. It's a jungle out there. There tend to be trees everywhere they can grow. I would also suggest that you put a greater variety of trees. There are so many palm trees in SPS, you don't have to stick to the original 4. Further, other trees than just palm trees grow in the tropics. Use a greater variety, especially the darker-coloured ones. You also have the same dead trees over and over. Variety is the spice of life and a good test of realism.
I could suggest river banks, either right beside the river (coast) or back from it (ravine,) depending on whether you want a fast river or a slow river with flood plain. Also the fordable section of river doesn't match the rest. There are some fordable/crossable sections that do match.
I would strongly suggest some roads (road-track) and paths (road-path.)
You have a village toward the bottom split by a Japanese artillery position. I would suggest pulling the village closer together, giving it a greater variety of building, and adding details. Fit the Japanese artillery outside the village, or wherever they can fit into the village. The village was there first.
Water wells would be good details, but in particular, think about why the village is there. Invariably there would be some sort of farmers fields, rice paddies, something like that. Also a road of some sort, and paths where the people go most often (to the well, out to the fields, etc.)
You live in the region, so you would know better than I. Look around you. Drive through the countryside. Read magazines. Learn about local geography. It all helps to make a more realistic map. The more realistic it is, the more people will enjoy playing on it, even if they don't consciously notice the realism.

thanks on the advice... i was playing with the map editor earlier.. i added some more trees in it.. your right about the village.. hehe.. was just playing with it yesterday for 2 hours.. im planning to add more texture to the map.. been following Ocelo's map guide.. so im still trying to learn the trade it was made in auto-generation it is Summer Time, with Thick Forest.. >.> that made me wonder why theres not much trees... i remember Guadalcanal specially the area's around henderson field to be very Heavily Forested areas and a very Hilly area also.. as the Japanese started with their attack with nothing but their rifles and grenades, as they were forced to leave the artillery on the way to Henderson Ridge... was adding a little twist to the battle Edson's ridge..
