Thanks
I'm trying to find a suitable location for downloading. At the moment, I'm thinking I will release them in sets of 7 to 9;
i.e.
Sherman Series by M4, M4A1, M4A2, M4A3, M4A4, Firefly (each includes 75mm and 76mm and/or 105mm if historically accurate, about 45 models).
GMC 2.5 Ton Truck Series (Cargo, Engineering, Shop, Medical, Tankers, 9 in all). Series separated by Closed Cab 1941-1943 & Open Cab 1943-1945.
International Harvestor M-5-6 Series (Primarily Cargo/Medical, CC & OC)
Studebaker Series (fill-in for missing models, 4 models)
M31/M32 TRV, M33/M34/M35 Prime Movers & Scammell Series (9 models at present)
PzIV Medium Tank (9 models)
WC Series (15 models)
Bedford Series (both MW & QL, 12 models)
Vickers 6Ton & Variants (8 models)
Armored Car Series - M8 Greyhound/M20 AC/M17 Staghound (5 Models)
M3 Tank Variants - M3 Lee, M3 grant, M7 Priest, Sexton, Deacon, Kangeroo, etc. (8 models)
M3-M5 Halftrack Series (23 models, with SPGs, Troop, etc.)
Misc Models - including Trucks, Tanks, SPGs and Aircraft(over 40 not in a particular series or army)
Any thoughts about a good dependable site with mirrored locations?
For the present, about 30 models are still going through evaluation and testing with various people. They will not be released if they do not function correctly.
Disclaimer: Each model has a copyright stamp embedded within the model that cannot be removed without destroying the model. The Stamp can be detected easily by any end user, but does not interfere with the models' use in the game. See image below:
With the Stamp embeded within the model, there will be no doubt who built it.
All models are original and
are not redos or overhauls of BK/Nival or any other Model Producer. I have taken
major pains to build each model as close to the actual specs by researching each as in depth as possible. I don't do concept models, prototypes (except on request), or "what ifs".
Once the models are released, the end-user may enjoy them for
Personal Use.
Any model that will be included within a MOD or Map, the producer/author must secure permission and agree to credit each model appropriately in a "Credit" Text File.
It is my desire that YOU enjoy these. I only ask that you respect my work.
Feel free to contact me to complain or offer suggestions. I am only human and quite prone to mistakes from time to time.
Improper Use within a MOD or Project without permission and/or credit, or any attempt to modify the source file will provide reason for me to undermine that person and their project.
It just isn't hard to ask and I am quite reasonable and easy to get along with.
I have filled requests for about 25 models for Specific Uses in MODS which will be released in the future. I will not release those models, but have given expressed permission to the producer/author for exclusive release. Once released, I may, provide duplicates or variants based upon the original. They will not be available outside for general distribution, unless someone decides to post them somewhere and risk my wrath.
I have attempted to fill in the holes of many of the units that were left out of the orginal BK game like the M20, M17, M4-DD, M4 Dozer and missing Trucks like the WC and Bedfords.
I have also attempted to build a few better models of the originals with a few added features; like the M3 Halftrack with the MG in the Window; Shermans with Turret MGs, Smoke Shell Tubes, or R1 Flame Throwers.
I am trying to push the models to the limit of potential without burdening your computer too badly. Users of older machines may wish to take me out for an old fashion flogging, and that is OK. Just let it be a feeling and not an action. I don't like to be flogged and it would mess up my whole day. Just ask me if I can reduce the poly count so it will run in your machine, and I will see what I can do.
Message to the Beta tester Guys: Thank you all for doing your best to assist me. You know who you are and I will give credit to you very soon. Yes, you found a few that you were able to break and some that didn't perform as designed. Without your help, I would probably get a lot of hate mail for releasing just another model that didn't do what it should. Again, thanks for helping me keep some new stuff in production.
OK, enough of this... I have things to do...
