Since I don't have the time anymore to script a lot for people I thought the best thing I could do is making script tutorials for people. But before I'd commit time to this I'd like to know if there is any interest for this and on which subjects people would like a tutorial.
One of the subjects that i'd like to make a tutorial about are metafunctions. Actually a quite simple aspect of scripting that can become very usefull.

Well, I don't know how others think about it, but I could need some help, I still didn't finish my first map.
I mean, don't do it, if it is to much of effort. I just want to say, if you write a tutorial, I will download it.

xml tutorial would be also easy i cant find it anywhere..

Here's the question Che!
How to change the side of one unit? Let's say, if a unit steps into "wood" area, neutral unit becomes player unit.
I can't find tutorial about that.

take care that the ChangePlayer function takes time in the game! therefor if you plan to use another function right after the ChangePlayer, give it time! If not, the following function might do nothing when the changing isnt completed. Same goes for reinforcements.

i think you need to select F1 help in the editor and click the link... but i'm not sure, it's been long ago, i use the pdf itself. if you ever need that, just ask!
*edit* if it's the mapeditor.chm you have downloaded, just 2x click and select calvins lua guide

I know there's a tool to check for LUA script errors in the SciTE editod by putting an addittional end somewhere. How exactly is that done?

Go to the "tools" tab in the Scite editor. Then choose the option "go", the scite editor will check for errors like a missing ; and so on. Beware cause it doesn't find all errors.
