I am trying to modify the ranges different types of anti-tank guns can fire out to. I have modified the max range in the unit .xml files, but when I load them onto my test map, I see no change, all the gun types still show identical ranges. I know an 88 has a greater range than a pak 38. What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing wrong with your weapon code, but BK has a little caveat when it comes to increasing ranges for 'line' firing weapons (i.e direct fire). In the consts.xml there is a value determining max direct firing range. No weapon can exceed this range (as a matter of fact, the original 88 in BK does anyway, but this value just clips the range down) I believe the value is listed as; MaxFireRangeToShootByLine = I personally set mine to 6000 (which equates to about 180 in weapon range value I think, I don't recall) Thanks SJ. That fixed the problem nicely. ;D I set mine to 12000 just to give a little elbow room.
