Is it just the P-38 or many?
Send it to me... I suspect you're running in Low Res without the patch.

OK.... we have solved the issue with the P38. As with all of us as we were learning, darwin just didn't add the correct skin. But as I was looking at the weaponed P38, I remembered that I could never get one to work with the original model. It had no gun locators. darwin had done a steller job of attempting to modify the model without help and had actually assigned a couple of the guns to existing part locators in the model. That is tough to do on accident. But since the model wasn't living up to its reputation as a great fighter bomber, I took it a step further... I ran the original model through MAYA and added the weapons. So if anyone wants a new version of either the P38_Fighter or the P38L_Attack... give darwin a shout and I am sure he will send it to you. After testing, I found it is pretty good. While it was not as good as the Zero or most German Fighters... the plane raked up an impressive amount of kills in both the Pacific and European Theaters. It was the only US Fighter produced and flown throughout WW2, with over 10,000 built. As an GAP, it tries to use the bombs first on high value targets (armor, then AA, then Infantry). Then it uses the Cannon, and then finally the MGs. As a fighter it uses the Cannon first then MGs. Added Weapons: 4 x 12.7mm MGs and 1 x 20mm Hispano Cannon in the Nose.... 2 x 500 pound bombs under the fuselage. Now this is not my original work and I make no pretense to lay claim to the model. It is a modifed BK model, not with just with a new 1.xml, but with added weapons and locators in the nose. You can see them if you look close. This model will use the original skins that are out there since it uses the same UV... you just have to add the weapons to the lower right of the skin. Now go out and shoot down a Betty...

I have used the models and they work nicely. Look good too. I'm toying with the idea of re-skinning both without the invasion stripes for use in Pacific maps. Mucho thanks to Major Pain for not only fixing my mistakes, but doing it quickly and giving the models some beautiful skins.
I really appreciate his work. ;D

I thought I'd set up a proper P-38 fighter and ground attack a long time ago. However, as I recall the GA version wouldn't GA (and the fighter probably doesn't fighter.) Trust the mis-monikered Major Pain to get it right.
I will gladly accept any new versions "floating" around.

Very nice. Much better than what I was thinking of. I especially like the detail work on the superchargers on the F-5.
Would you be interested in sharing them with me?

SJ: Great work... I updated the MGs on your skins... simply procedure. The MGs occupy the lower 48 x 48 area of the 512 x 512 texture map.

I have a mission which is under test. It is aborting for no reason related to the script or 1.xml that I can determine.
When it is aborting is about the time I destroy the first bunker with my artillery. I seem to recall in some cases this was a problem. What is the way around it?

Are you using Ambient death mod? It causes a crash when attack a bunker

No, I am not. The game runs to the end if you take out the bunker occupants with infantry, but if you destroy it with artillery - abortion!

Sounds like an issue in the bunker damaged or destroyed states.

So what do I do about it? I seem to recall this was a topic on the old Blitzkrieg Portal, because there was an issue with the larger bunkers in stock BK.

Which bunker is it?
Are you using a script to check the bunker state or just the infantry within it?
I'll look at it.
