i don't would it's the huge amount of units, effects, sounds, all together ... maybe the game (indipendently by pc used) suffer this huge cargo ... it's possible?

I will try to go on the mission this weekend lowering resolution from 1600 to 1440 or 1280. My 2 PC's have 8 GB RAM and Inter(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q600 2,40 GHz, so I don't think the problema is RAM or processor speed.

I strongly advise comrades which try this map tp go into -1 speed. It's a very hard mission, lots of units and irrespectively to computer capabilities ( at least average computers ) under normal speed this map has a tendency to freeze.

femohi and Mascarenhas2 Quite possible. It's weird though. Stanenberg hasn't reported anything similar and I didn't have any slowdowns. However I did play the map at +3 (haven't tried on +4; too fast in my opinion) and there were no slowdowns. I believe that issue is definitely tied to amount of objects and units. EDIT: femohi I have 6 gigs of RAM so you can rule that one out. My processor is a bit faster though (but not by much), so that one is out too. Btw which graphics card do you have?

The graphics card can suffer if not sufficient to handle all the units. Check you specs and compare...

I played mostly on -1 because of gameplay aspects, but I also played on +5 from time to time without any problems. Of course if there are a lot of units (like at the start), the game will maybe lag or slow down a bit, but that's not the maps fault as it happens like this on every BK map with lot of units at start.

It's not so much the number but how many are moving or performing an action...
The more moving the more resources begin to bog down... until they reach a break-over point... then crash... usually detectable by your sound card warbling...
So check that aspect...

Graphic Card: NDIVIA GeForce 9600GT 512 MB DDR3. Audio Card: SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio.
I will try this weekend with a lower resolution.

Mine is or better said was (it broke down 2 days ago) ATI Radeon HD6970. Currently i'm using HD4870 on my old PC. Still I have to point out that GeForce 8800 (I believe GT model) was probably the best card ever for Blitzkrieg (I still regret that I changed it for HD4870).
Audio is something that's integrated on motherboard, so I honestly don't know which type or anything else.
However what Major said is also true. A lot of units at the start have individual commands instead of,shall I say, groupID script commands. So it's probably the cause.

Actually I have just remembered one bit of information.
I'm not a computer expert so it may be nothing and in case that's true disregard my advice, but have tried setting "minimal fps" option to 0?

@ femohi. Very good map, but almost impossible unless you play -1 speed. With higher speeds the mouse gets frozen and stuck on screen; also scrolling through screen. Tested in two PC's under W7 and two differents mouses. Two things to check. 1.Mouse driver issue. 2. Believe it or not..HDTV if you using one can cause mouse lags you described. Now..I have lags sometimes due to lots of resources running in my pc. Try restarting comp and get to game , see if that helps. Regards.

My monitor is Asus Mx279H. I have bought a new mouse: Genius Ergo 8800 wireless, and it's the same. This problem also happens when I played some of Leonidas' maps from Mission Kursk ( I remember Mission 9). May be my PC is very old and perhaps I should update/change it. . BTW I will finish the misión though I had to do it at -1 speed.
