I'm very proud to announce my new chapter, "Uranus Aftermath" is close to be released. Tonight I finished the last map/script, untill the end of the week it will be chapterised and so it will be tested by my usual tester, Fritz Lang, from the spanish portal. With luck, the chapter can be released in the middle of april.
The chapter is about the battles after the 6th army encirclement, in the context of the operations ThunderStorm and Little Saturn. Soviet side, in the winter of 1942, as usual (everyone here has his favourite context).
Four missions where the player will need to attack, defend and both. Two maps 16x16, one 12x12 and one 18x20.
I can guarantee this is my best work, cause I made a lot of progres in the script work, specially in the use of random comands. The scripts have between 263 and 505 lines (and I usually use the most short way of write the comands).
Here the screenshot of the maps:
I can pots some screenshots when the tester work begin.
Well I'll be looking forward to this chapter. I myself don't venture into that particular time period much, so your maps are real refreshers. Its interesting to see the Red Army as it was in its transition state- experience, tactics, strategy, and weaponry were changing. Not to mention the locale and force allocations.
Thanks for the encouragement guys, it's with the tester now. BTW, with the chapter we will have a new patch to PZWF, with some fixes and new units. Now, if I only have a help to make winter skins to some of those units...

Warlord: Lads, I need help: I had HD issues some weeks ago, everything had to go, and the bl**dy technician didn't include ALL of my BK stuff in the backup!

Warlord: Can someone direct me to a source where I can have access to some of the software without having to skip too much between drives? To begin with, I'm thinking of a clean copy of the most up-to-date Vanilla BK, Frankreich 40-44 with all the updates, CFCS

Warlord: ATTWK, and La Columna.

Stanenberg: BK can be bought on Steam for a meager 5 $.

Squire James: I would recommend if running the Steam version on Windows 10 to run the exe straight from the folder (or with a shortcut), set to Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP2, ran as Administrator, and possibly in a Window.

Squire James: If ran through Steam itself, it crashes and hangs quite frequently. So far, ran in the above manner, no crashes at all for several hours.

Warlord: Thanks lads for the support. I'm trying to stay away from Steam, as, according to the tech, somehow working with that site caused all the trouble. My original BK came from Steam, and I ran it with all the fixes SJ mentioned to avoid issues.

Warlord: Any links to Vanilla?
Jul 27, 2021 17:11:21 GMT 1
Warlord: SJ, links to your wonderful creation and subsequent mods (I mean, ATTWK and La Columna)?
Jul 27, 2021 17:12:02 GMT 1
Stanenberg: If your original BK is from steam, cant you just redownload the game?
Jul 28, 2021 15:17:08 GMT 1
Warlord: Steam was the source of the ordeal I had to go through, Stan. Will try to stay away from it as much as possible.

Stanenberg: Hmm, Steam is really easy to use in my opinion. I would recommend trying it again. The BK version from Steam also comes with Rolling Thunder and Burning Horizon addons
