I'm a little bored with GZM, why I cant simply pass the first mission? And I hope the difficult in version 7.0 is not as version 5.4. Cause I hate the "Rambo Syndrome" (few units must kill an entire army).

(Good name!)

bb: those things depend almost entirely on the individual map and its author. All I can say is that, Spain aside, most of the chapters have seriously been revamped and updated. A revamping of practically all campaigns is taking place right now as well, on the same if not a greater scale. Issues that time will solve. For now, the best advice I can give you is to ask the map creator at SouyzUnion, or to skip the mission.

Map tests are slowly proceeding; many thanks to the so-far only tester (apart from myself), FritzLang! Final unfinished map is nearing completion, although some tweaks are needed on some maps, and still need to work on the Budapest Scenario. NET MAPS FROM PROJECT: 1.Kerch Landings, 1943-44 2.Ukraine Spring, 1944 3.Breakthrough, 1944 4.Encircling Budapest, 1944 5.Axis Stalingrad: Siege of Budapest, 1944-45 A bit less exhaustive than I hoped, as most of the Motherland Calls maps don't quite meet the GZM-7 standards (with regard to the USSR campaign). Still, they will play along nicely with the already availlable missions (ie: Korsun Pocket, some of Medal for Budapest). Following this in the campaign will likely come Konigsberg, under development by Simeo. I am welcoming more people to try these maps (and perhaps the mod itself too) out and give me some feedback. My future works will be focusing on the US campaign in the Pacific Theater. Neu topic and screens coming soon. Exactly which maps I will be making, will be determined by which of the already available ones are decent, and which need replacement. Based on this and my abilities, I'll start to get an idea of what shape the campaign will take. Although, this won't be a standalone campaign for GZM-7, but will likely be integrated in an Allied or US campaign.

But you stole my tester, LOL Any honest scripted map is better than those stupid random maps. I hope this "reloaded campaign" wont have have random maps. BTW, who will be the map developers? I'll try latter. I want to play a little more with GZM and I probably will start to make maps to it soon.

New maps are by Simeo (one of my favorites), ilyaka (maps are a bit too lengthy but still fun; great map quality), myself (USSR, NAM US maps, pacific?). Possibly more?

Well, I'm in love with GZM ;D. But as I allready told, I experienced problems with the campaign, so I made a convertion of the old chapter "Operation Typhoon" and I'm really enjoyng it. I tried the "panzeralarm" convertion too, but that campaign is too bad (as all "Total Mission" series).
I believe GZM should have more new chapters and convertions, cause is not all the time you are in the mood to fight the entire world war.
And where is Zigfrid? He made some of the greatest Russian maps.

Haven't heard from/of Zigfrid much (never knew him); he's not making maps now at least. Yeah, the campaign does take some getting used to; I actually for the purposes of simply enjoying the maps made a patch which has an easy difficulty, which is between BK easy and normal, but a lot closer to normal (also the guns for both the player and the enemy are less accurate). Ranges and the 88s are a pain at first. Conversion: yeah, there is a great need for that, but IMO mostly for the German/Allied campaigns (the latter of which may be split into two), and really great maps are available for these. Eastern Front is quite better covered, but still lacks in key areas such as a German-sided Barbarossa view.

Hm, you're close to discover my new project... actually I'm more convinced to make a chapter about the Operation Typhoon... Let's see. For now I'm making some single maps, just for fun. Will release my last work to PZWF soon.

I played your Ukraine map. I think every mapper have an "assignature", your assinatures are the highly detailed maps and the confused reinforcements (LOL). Overall, a good and challenging mission with a very simple script, a nice use of the real "plethora" of units in GZM. I was kicked one time in the defence of the citty, but most of time it's well balanced with a medium difficulty. Here are some things I think you should fix: 1) More trucks to the player resuply the artillery. You gave a lot of artillery pieces but few trucks to ressuply it. 2) In the german counter-attack you should give more time to the player to prepare the defences. 3) The reinforcements are a little messy. I know you love to give reinforcements in the middle of the enemy, but is very frustating receive a 152 mm battery just to see it being destroied a couple of seconds after... BTW, the reinforcement of AT guns came after the defence of the citty (penultimate objective). Is it correct? Two things to enhance the mission challenge: 1) I would disable the aviation to the 4th objective (capture the citty), once the citty is lightly defenced, and would re-enable aviation after. 2) I would give a mobile defence to the bridgeheads using script or AI settings.
Thanks for the fun. I hope you keep making maps to Eastfront.
