Not to mention tons and tons of awesome skins and/or sound which you can use to make the game even better. Plus, it's Blitzkrieg. BK3 seems to follow CoH's tracks more closely (building armies/defences). Don't get me wrong, CoH's a great game. But it is different. When I play Blitzkrieg, I want it to be Blitzkrieg.

BK1 is still a unique concept, exept for the word "Blitzkrieg", for me Blitzkrieg III is a total other game, which not even has a sparkle of the old game spirit. It will be apreciated by a generation of gamers who are used to superficial gaming, and for whom realism and historical facts are something they are not aware of. I understand Nival, since they are a commercial company, and need to make money...But if I had the budget, I would create a team of dedicated people who would like to make the most realistic tactical WW II game ever made..

Well said vonosten-so very true. The price of the game is rather astonishing, if I even got past that, the feel and look of the game just isn't appealing to me. Just to put into perspective, we have 2000+ maps and chapters ect. If you played everyone of them at say 3 days a map, depending how long you played per day and the difficulties involved in the map. That is 6000 days of gaming. Wrap your mind around that.

VO: I think that is what we are doing... lol... We already have some of the best artists and map builders of any game... And new ideas are growing legs... We already have the tools and just need to push the envelope... Damn it! I suddenly feel dizzy...

We all are doing a wonderful job keeping this game alive and more interesting by the day. But how far can we go? I think the biggest challenge for BKI would be a total rework of the infantry, and i'm not only thinking of the animations, but especially the AI.. I wish we could give them all a brain

Nice landscape! The scenery, objects, effects are very nice..But still I have the opinion there is a great lack of realism. To many tanks, and the speed of the vehicle's is to fast. The Sdkfz recon vehicle spurts away like a formula I car. Aiming and turretmovement of the tanks is to fast.Movements of the infantery is to fast as well. The movement is very unnatural. A mistake I see in many games; lack of interest? Why not make infantery move like real humans; kneeling, spurting, running cover, I still see pairs of infantery all moving the same..

Building capture? Check! CoH-style units (nice game a have nothing against it, but not really suited for WW2 IMHO)? Check! Small map? Check! Infantry (here i'm disappointed beyond belief)? Check! From what I have seen so far I won't be getting this.
Of course I might be wrong and i'll wait for the reviews to make my final opinion, but for now I'm terribly disappointed.

Although it seems they extended the firing range of the units, so thats a positive. I really not want to burn down a game on forehand, I know there is much effort put in this, but its just not what I expected for a game like Blitzkrieg. After all the game went famous, because of the tactical depth, and for its time, a great realism. And indeed, Tedi88, CoH comes up in my mind as well, and that game is not of my favour at all. Nothing can spoil more a game for me as factories and barracks that are build up in the middle of a battle field, and tanks and units roll out of it, and mostly destroyed by a stronger enemy force that always pops up at the wrong moment...
