I wonder what happend to my creating heights tutorial I send to Leon. He was suppose to transfer it into a pdf file and make it available in BKHQ main site?
Does any admin or moderator of old BKHQ have it?

I haven't seen it, but I have a very large section on terrain, including heights, in my mapping guide. You could check it out and advise me of other options and ideas I have missed/don't know.

I have it in Microsoft Word, anyone interested in making the conversion to pdf?
Could be an interesting addition to Ocelo's mapping guide.

@mp: If possible, perhaps you could look at my section, add in what's new, add jeffcanada as one of the secondry authors, and send the updated version to Aleks? The problem is that I cannot ork with/modify PDFs.

I'll wait for what Desert have. Desert: Are you talking about MY tutorial? @mp: If necessary, I'll send my Word file tomorrow.

Ocelo Send whatever you want to have converted to my email. Make sure all pictures are in the folder when you zip it. Be sure to provide some direction for me to go by. It will probably be easier to convert from MS Word if that is the format you are using. If it is a .txt or in older .doc, the pictures may be dropped or rearranged at times. Once I have them converted, I'll send it back for your approval. If OK, then you can post or link. @jeffcananda I will be looking for it... and see above if it applies. Just for reference: MSWORD with the docx extension is very good for converting to .pdf. Not really a big deal but the image handles are much better than earlier Word versions. @all Excuse me while I try to regain my strength over the next couple of weeks. I had an unfortunate health issue recently that rendered me quite weak. I'm just glad to be here and that wasn't a certainty in the beginning. But as I try to get back up to speed, I am sure I will not produce much of anything useful for awhile. I hope to complete some of my unfinished projects as I can. Sorry to all that I have kept waiting. MP

Take your time, Major. You did much more than "anything useful" for us in the past so no need to hurry. Recover and get well soon. By the way, I can convert to .pdf from Msword but I can do it only at work. If you, all of you, want a conversion then send me the file to my email.

Oh boy. I found all my pictures but not the .doc file. So at the moment, the best I can see is to modify the existing .pdf (by Desert) and add the missing picture. Is it possible? HO Ho Ho, here's a wonderfull edit. I am so lucky.... The file was too big to send it to Leon by PM so I did it via hotmail. Guess what? I still have it in my send messages, so there you go.... www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=04c2449159d3561841446e35a78dc463d801471c81f47e6fb878de785cc0f59eI'm so happy. ;D But I can tell you about Vista, it's a %&*?+)(&)% of OS. A "!$/?% HO? you know that yet? Who told you?
