Hi guys,
So i just bought the game "PanzerKrieg" online in fact it is still downloading. Now i use to play suddenstrike1 SS2, for YEARS i was big into the modding communtiy "Real Warfare Mod" and i absolutley loved it, and i played for years, but have dropped off the gaming map for quite sometime now. Well now after downloading panzerkeig i ntoiced that blitzkrieg has a huge modding and community, bring me back to the old days. Now my question is... i kind of jumped right into this so please bare with me. Am i able to use mods and maps/custom campaignes made for blitzkrieg from paner-blitz.com? i seen quite a few very good mods and a very good german scenario pack, and im wondering, did i make a mistake buying panzerkreig instead of blitzkreig? if anybody can give a old ww2 RTS player a good undertstanding about the community, and the compatibility between the two games maps/mods (if they are differnt at all). Thanks guys.

PK is newer
BK is older,,but has alot more modificztions and random maps (granted they are few),,whereas PK does not.
PK and BK both have there good points
I myself would buy BK also (you can pick up Anthology pretty cheap.
Any mods are specifically built for thsoe particular games ,,so w/o "modifying the mods" I don't think they are able to be used in different add-ons.

Thanks Mongo for the help. I would answer it myself but I never even played Panzerkrieg.
Man can lose his passion for moding when no one is willing to help at the moment...

Panzerkrieg is pretty good, but of course, with its numerous mods, etc, Blitzkrieg is better. Actually, having both is very good (BK doesn't cost much anymore, especially if you buy Anthology from LaPlata, I think). I don't know what you made for Sudden Strike, but I think we've seen some buildings in BK from that game, so I think some things arepossible to convert into BK. Panzerkrieg has a hidden file system, which means no modding for most people, as far as I know.

BK is much easier to manipulate and take avantage of the THOUSANDS of objects (units, buildings, trees, scenery items, sounds, effects, etc...) that have been created over the last 6 years or so. Not to mention the HUNDREDS of MAPS, MISSIONS, CHAPTERS, MODS, ETC...
The WORK continues in this excellent game by many talented Members of the Community.
A good starting point is either BK or BK Anthology as was suggested. Once you grab one of those, or both, you will have a thousand questions. I just thought I should let you know up front.
If you decide to pursue BK in all of its Glory... and you wish to explore the mods, skins, models, game files and parameters... then you will be hooked.
I wrote the BK "HOW TO" TUTORIAL that addresses many of the above items mentioned. It has many illustrations to help you understand how the game works with the various components. It is in .pdf format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you want a copy of it, send an EMAIL to:

Are you sold yet?
