From Wikipedia:
Sherman Tulip - British Sherman with two 3-inch ("60lb") RP-3 rockets on rails added to the turret. Used by the 1st Coldstream Guards at the Rhine in 1945.
Is it correct?

From Wikipedia: Sherman Tulip - British Sherman with two 3-inch ("60lb") RP-3 rockets on rails added to the turret. Used by the 1st Coldstream Guards at the Rhine in 1945. Is it correct? Yes... you are correct. For sake of clarification... the RP-3 Rocket was also referred to as the 60lb Rocket. It was 3 inch or 76mm and had similar to slightly better ballistics than the 76mm M1A1 Gun. The accuracy was not very good, but it did a lot of damage if it directly hit a target. It created fairly decent slash-over or collateral damage to anything around the spot it hits. The model is in BETA TESTING. We are looking at range and damage values. The RP-3 had a range of 1600 meters, or just under 1 mile. In BK, we cannot come close to this range because that exceeds the map sizes. So keeping in the scale of BK weapons will be observed. We are comparing artillery weapons to find the suitable range. Another aspect of the weapon is the minimum range. It is unlikely the crew would attack any target within sight. So this means the minimum range should be at least half of the maximum range. It is a bombard weapon only. Since the goal was to take advantage of all of the tanks weapon systems... this weapon can only be used against targets spotted by a forward observer or a unit that has sight on a target. This creates a versatile tank that can be used as a ordinary tank, or a long range artillery unit.

T34 Calliope Update:
The BETA Tester has advised me that he believes that the rocket effect is not working as it should. After we discussed this, I tend to agree. I put 10 Tube Fire Locators that each fire 6 rockets, but the effect last about a second. That is not historically correct. So the model is going through some changes at this time.
I've been playing with a version where the Tubes each have their own weapon file. The purpose was to offset their fire timing based on when the first tube fires, followed by the next, until all 10 have fired their rockets. So the theory was timing each tube so it fires on a timed schedule, then the cycle begins at tube 1 and the process repeats 6 times. Well this has not worked effectively since I cannot seem to get the timing tight enough so it looks like a chained event. So this will continue to be worked on as time permits. At the moment, the effect takes about 10 seconds which is still too fast and has gaps where some rockets delay while others are so close they appear to launch at the same time. The event should take at least 15 to 18 seconds.
So in the meantime, the number of firing locators will be reduced with a slight offset so all 60 rockets fire in succession. The unique thing about the T34 is all of the other weapon systems will still function, unlike the BK version. So the players can still use the unit as if it was a tank, or as rocket artillery with 84 range. I set the minimum range to 42. The T34 has bombard capability (blind) or can acquire a target between 42 and 84 if a forward observer or another unit has eyes on.
A very effective unit.
Recently, someone suggested a Rocket Series... so the Tulip and T34 are the first in that Series as it is now underway. If you have a unit you would like to see in that Series, let me know. The Wiz Bang is number 3 on the list and several others from several nations are already planned.

That T-34 is looking awesome! Calliope too.
Are you going to have flamethrowers in all of your tank series?
Do you have an aviation series planned?
Just wondering.
Ciao, John
