OK... I am supporting gagarin's request...
Everyone stay off of reskinning the USSR T26 tanks until we improve and up-link what is there.

The Release for January so far is 79 models.

Alpha channel is NOT ACCEPTABLE! It is used only for the "dead" texture model.
All discrepancies were noticed by the artist - should immediately be described by the author of the model (modeler). This is the main "essence" of the artist and modeler. The artist must be a partner modeler. They should work together in a constant contact. Most of the inaccuracies of the model (if any) are only visible for painting model (texture distortion, inaccurate details, problems with the lighting model, etc.).
If you come to work with this series, as an artist, it did the job is not satisfactory.

Joe, just ask me to make the changes without Alpha removal. It is not hard to do it that way. But if someone else applies your skin and adds a new background color to the UV, the Alpha removal shows up anyway and distorts the work.
Together we can make it work.

STUG UPDATE
Well there are still a few issues.
Tonight, i have set aside all of my time to once more check the geometry of each model, along with all locators and weapon files. The STUG BUG continues to wreak havoc... and it should not being doing what the reports are suggesting.
Back with more in a few hours.
The USSR T-26 Project has taken on a new life of its own. The result will be a true representation of some of the first Russian Tanks of WW2... used not just by the USSR, but China, Finland, and other allies and combatives. A few models will be added to the livery with some factory upgrades and changes.
Progress in the PzIII Series. Same as StuG... deserves another recheck on Geometry due to remaining MAYA issues. I released them for BETA 3 testing and about half failed to animate at all. This is due to newer animation file that was not reset after abandoning about 40 frames of the turret animations. That track has has now been rewritten to regroup into older frame tracks.
I'll swear that I am not trying to discuss this where it is over anyone's head. But because of the level of sophistication MAYA models are capable of.... they are more than just models... they have a little engineering behind them that make them do the things they do. If we as modelers do not get that part of the job right... then the model quality is very poor. I'm not so much into building eye candy... but the StuGs were perhaps my finest EYE CANDY project ever... Damn it.
As a model builder... I have seen better days of course. But sometimes we just screw up so bad that it becomes the headline: "MAJOR PAIN SCREWS UP AGAIN".
No one is more upset than I am about this...

Throwing my battered keyboard did the trick...
THE STUG BUG IS NOW DEAD... Up loading last and final version of StuGIII Series II very soon...
But first...
Because this Series gave me and all of you so much trouble... It is now coming with BONUS Models that should have been included...
StuH42 Ausf F
and... StuH42 Ausf G
These were the Models modified for the 105mm Gun.
And because I feel badly about this issue...
Several new G Models are added with the MG42 for local defense....
These appeared in the Series I... now the Series will be complete.
And sorry for my triple post...

Ok... several new models working in BETA now.
New Ausf G with the late model Remote MG for Loader. This gun is hard to spot but lethal to infantry trying to sneak up. 360 degree rotation.
New Ausf G with Saukopf Mantlet... with the Coaxial MG installed. These were only on Ausf G after January 1944. It also has the Remote MG.
A couple of early Ausf G with the loader manned MG, open hatch and Commander in Cupola.
Now that the STUG BUG is Dead... things are beginning to run on all cylinders...

Still working, Series expanded to 30 models from 23. I may not release a couple.... File Size is larger than I wanted them to be... Around 1 mb at the highest... Detail is just a lot of stuff.... tarps, boxes, junk, etc

I releasing with my stock skins... I have yours and will add them to the folders for alternates. I'm finishing the final models but ran out of gas last night, then had to go into Station this morning. I'll upload everything later tonight after I complete about two more hours of clean up.
The Series will be about 28 or 29 models, rather than the original 23. If someone suggests and requests number 30 and it has not been built already, then I'll add it with their name on it. Example: StuG-G-Arnie
How's that for motivation?
