You are quite right-I never beat it either. But that doesn't stop me from trying again.
Thanks and as always-Kursk on!
Good work!

The complete Kuban bridgehead series from daniel89 and his scripters leon/Feldgrau:
The first map is: Krimskaja 1943
its actually an old map and should be known by all true kurskers in this forum
Recently daniel89 released 2 more maps about the Kuban Battle:
Name: Attack on Goritschnyj Authors: daniel89 (map)/Feldgrau (script) Player: Germany AI: Russia Game: RT Mod: MK Season: Summer
Attack on Goritschnyj
And the 2nd one:
Name: Wyschka sector Authors: daniel89 (map)/Feldgrau (script) Player: Germany AI: Russia Game: RT Mod: MK Season: Summer
Wyschka sector
The chronological order of these maps is: Krimskaja-Goritschnyj-Wyschka. Of course I will kill you if you don't stick to this order
Have fun, Stanenberg

I'll say that first mission is a bear-using the FO's and a lot of shoot and scoot with the Marders to get some breathing room. 8 saves and still not an objective taken-love it! Still have no strategy for getting to the Russkie guns yet.

I have almost cleared the northern small village except for a HMG and ambulance. Up to 16 saves. Only lost my command half track. Not using the 88 at all, my one reload was due to excessively using it at the start.

Krimskaya was a very decent map-covers the entire "board".
Final score for me was: 1-Marder lost 1-Command HT 1-armored HT 111-KIA
Time 9hrs.
Thank you Stanenberg.

Finally finished Goritschnyj. Very long and difficult mission for me. The only clue I will give is to lightly guard your two original supply dumps, pairs of Ivans pop up and try to walk past them to turn them red any time during the game.
Time: 10hrs-30min. KIA=152. Lost: 2-StuG IIIs 2-Armored HT 1-88 AT gun. 1-kubelwagon(now I have to walk).

Wyschka Sector
I am hard pressed to remember a map where I have killed so many Russians. I still lost. Countless attacks on the height with tank and infantry supplemented by relentless rocket and arty fire. I gave them as much heck as I could but just didn't last. I just haven't figured out how the mapper intended the mission to be won yet. I have put it aside for now.

In Kursk a T34 cant really harm a StuG in frontal fight. The StuGs are the main point to defend the hill. If you get your artillery, try to destroy the enemy artillery, this really helps. There are around 5 or 6 attacks on the hill, do don't worry, they are not countless. (Or are you referring to Leninskoje at the start?)

I thought that was the way to go and was mostly successful, except I lost my StuGs to enemy arty. When I replay it, I will try to be more careful. I believe I survived up to the final attack on the hill.
Thanks Stanenberg-good hunting to you.

Fire two or three rounds on 1 or 2 of your StuGs then move them back from the position... Keep others far enough to the sides there is little chance they will be hit. Watch where the attacking guns are firing from then hit them with the others....
Only fire three rounds then move them back... Wait for the guns to redirect fire to where the 2nd wave of StuGs were sitting... Then Move the others up and attack the firing circles. The AI changes to the new coordinates about 60 seconds after the 2nd wave of guns fire. You may have time to fire four rounds before moving them. It depends on the spacing, how far a gun has to pivot to fire on target.
Keep doing this and you should knock them out.
I hope this helps
