The former reason is true for BKHQ. As for BKP, well, Lee got tired of it- it was a huge amount of work- keeping everything up to dte, moderating the site, responding to the 100s of questions, KEEPING SITE CLEAN OF SPAM, etc- everything daily. I would say that, as long as Lee kept it up, it is an extremely admirable achievement, though I hope Aleksej will have the same sucess (which probably depends on the comitment of the members and visitors above all).

I would like to remind everyone that the people that provided BKHQ did so on their own time. Wespex committed his own money. No one was asked to do anything except be civil, follow some simple "play well with others" rules, and not link to pirated intellectual property.
Wespex thought enough about the BK community to step forward and attempt to provide a home. The guys he enlisted to help with the site did their very best. What seemed to be overbearing or heavily policed is only the perception of a few. I won't go into that any further.
I applaude wespex for what he tried to do, but the burden of constant spam, pirated links and various issues that never seemed to end, unfortunately took their toll on him. I do not think he should be condemned nor attacked when he did it for the community. He sure didn't do it for himself.
Now Aleks has picked up the Gauntlet, and he is doing a great job. If everyone likes to have a place to hang out, I really hope that we all learned from our past history. Further discussion about what was, or wasn't, isn't going to change anything. Learn from it and move on.
If everyone puts their best foot forward and commits to being friendly and civil... I'm sure Aleks will not have a problem keeping this going. If everyone just follows his simple rules, then there should not be any issue or misunderstandings.
I'm still around, but my interest and quest for BK suffered due to all of the drama. I know some would rather that I fade away... but as long as there is one person out there that wants my help, I will help. Most of the time I will sit out here in the nose bleed section and not comment on anything. But I get tired of reading attacks on a guy that just tried to provide a home for all of you. Wespex should be remembered for all of the great stuff he did, and not for closing a door.
Sorry Aleks... I just wanted to clear the air and speak my piece on this.

Really I do not see any point in trying to explain why it went down or even addressing it, the carcass is still fresh and some people want their pound of flesh from it, though i would like to see the people who danced over it on the CDV forums try and float that boat here. but as long as there is one person out there that wants my help, I will help. As long as i continue modeling i'll probably be in need of your help. Without you any new models would probably just be wires. Wespex should be remembered for all of the great stuff he did, and not for closing a door. I think Wespex is a pretty cool guy, eh doesn't put up with a lot of crap, had a great sense of humor and doesn't afraid of anything.

gosh i cant believe it... just being civil and being nice were too hard for some ppl? haha!! man thats way too easy! simple and i hope we all keep to it! hehe It wasn't so simple. People were being banned, posts edited left and right. Finally, an old-time member got accused of the same old "copyright violation" story, and that's when some decided it was eough. These are not my opinions; they are facts. I liked BKHQ in its first days too, but it went downhill after that... At least for me.
