Like Alexandar, i would like to have change ammo; a refuelling parameters, capture vehicles and realistic effects on explosions (Das ist gut) , Big size map (50x50) as Vonosten said...... something like Cuban Missile Crisis with the ailogic for STALINGRAD (fire do not pass a crossing houses) .......The same Xml, lua and Bmz for the love of modding........maybe a fantastic editor for an easy adaptation of many existing maps and mods The same graphism, the same spirit! I dont want an other Company of Heroes with limited units on map!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont want an other Command and conquer with factory for creating units!!!! same thing for me ;D

A new BK? In today's gaming world which is full of crap, BK III would be a diamond!

I can help with the strategic map. I have been working (slowly) with different types of map programs and content. There are three main programs I have been using: web-based javascript map using ArcGIS javascript api, NASA's world wind .net version and world wind java version. I also have been working with other features where you would manage an economy, trade and transportation. For the economy data, I use the League of Nations Yearbook which has lots of statistics in pdf format for most nations. The National Bureau of Economic Statistics has data in file format for nations such as UK, US, Germany and France. I use this data to create graphs for historical data and then you can add factories to increase production, manage commodities and use economic tools which will create new statistics. I figure we could also track the number of soldiers available for a country and then subtract the losses after each battle. I have also been accumulating the different unit icons and trying to come up with a method for updating a unit's position on the map. The major roadblock that I have run into is learning the programming. The javascript api is fairly straightforward and I have learned that the fastest. The WW.net is written in C# which is a bit harder for me and WW java is of course written in java which would be the hardest for me to learn. I was able to make a little "flight simulator" where an icon representing a plane flies from one point to another and can calculate position, heading and lat/long using the haversine formula. My BKTopo (c++) program worked pretty well and I incorporated the hill shading technique but the results still weren't satisfying. I have examples of the World Wind .net in my Global Campaign thread and have a concept of the others at www.danreavey.net/projects/globalcampaign/globalcampaign.htm. I just registered my business yesterday and setting that up has taken alot of my time since I got back from Russia. The nice thing is that any programming I learn, I can use in my business. So, I would also like to see this BK3 come into fruition.

(Although I think they wish to continue with a game engine in 3D.) With a multiplayer mode optimized. Another interesting point would be to create and use dedicated servers, hosted by our own health, but that would reduce any lag issues. Other "remarks" to come ... Edit : A gameplay like Mission Kursk will be great !!

In light of the recent developments concerning NIVAL's Blitzkrieg 3... Von Osten would you, and the other interested parties, mind if I close this thread?
Notice: THREAD will be locked Friday August 16th, 2013.
Get your final statements in now...
I suggest a new Thread for Further BK-1 research and development so it is not confused with BK3.
Perhaps "BK1 2nd Life Project" or something to that effect.

Nah, delete it. I think a threat discussing the importance of keeping BK 1 alive could be usefull though.
