Yeah most of the late "B"s & "C"s did not have the scoop. The "D" never had it, improved and larger intake on bottom The A-36 Apache also had the scoop with Air Brakes top of the Wings. My "D"s don't not have the scoop, neither the first or the newer with clear cockpit... you're showing the "C" or Mustang III. I can rebuild the "C" and remove the scoop if you wish... I had included it kind of accidently-on-purpose... My mistake for using incorrect blueprint on "C" model. The "C"/Mustang III had the large bulge cockpit, where the "D" went to the Bubble Top or "Teardrop".

I'm just a mere student of history... and if that rubs off on someone else, then that is a great thing. Thank you. You are correct, the Bs & Cs were built at the same time, just 2 different factories; Bs in Inglewood California and Cs in Dallas Texas. The large bulge cockpit was a result of solving limited pilot visibility to the rear. The D model (UK Mustang IV) was further developed to specifically improve pilot visibility by lowering the area immediately behind the pilot, the so-called razorback mustang with the bubble hood canopy. It was this model that truly designated the Mustang as a World Class Warbird which would rule the European Skies. On another note: We must credit the British for the Development of the Mustang. When North American was approached with the idea of building P40 Warhawks under license from Curtiss, NA responded they could design and deliver a superior plane much quicker than re-tooling for the Warhawk. Initial design to the first flying prototype was a mere 120 days; some sources claim 102 to 117 days. Nevertheless, the rest is history. For those of you that are experiencing dizzyness, light headedness or a sharp pain over your eyes.... do not be concerned... it is only now you know more about the Mustang than you really ever wanted to know. So go out and put the MP/SJ Mustangs to use!!!

I might do his French tanks and vehicles depending on if AFM are still being asshats about people using their work. Although, I'll be mimicking their SOMUA texture either way; I like the scheme I think they are but you can contact Feldgrau, he has made a lot of beautiful french units Watch that

I don´t mind at all. Even if some of the same models are being textured by both of us. Since so many colour versions where used during war, its just awesome to have more than one version for the game..So please carry on, I would like to do a plane for fun...but I do´nt know what to choose..Regards.
