Friday's announcement: Sergey Galenkin, director of marketing at Nival kanobu.ru/news/ofitsialno-podtverzhdena-razrabotka-blitskrig-3-367747/I'm thinking NIVAL is controlling the press releases... which is brilliant! Quick Note: I'm seeing a few familiar names still working at NIVAL, and most likely on the BK3 team. This info was hard to acquire and I cannot divulge my source.
Something for you guys to think about:
Has anyone given thought to the fact that everything you say here is being read by NIVAL Staff?
I urge everyone to continue to post in the other topic what you'd like to see in BK III.
Please make it short with a good explanation. Don't ask for stuff that you know can't happen.
But I will say this... If BK 3 returns to quasi-BK I, many of the same features, including MODS, file structure and expanded Multiplayer will be there.

That's a great possibility half confirmed by the marketing administrator.

That's BK III for sure. I see something in this image... it seriously remembers me to Blitzkrieg I rather than to Blitzkrieg II. It has the same size and style, but in 3D, of course. Let's hope they'll keep the original spirit...

There's also something also: the more complicated the game gets, the more difficult it will be to modify it.

There's also something also: the more complicated the game gets, the more difficult it will be to modify it. In terms of effort... yes... In terms of capability.... not really... if the tools are in one's reach. Since I have been working on several other game platforms, I'm thinking of it as training for this project. I'll be very happy with buildings with animated damaged parts, like the roof or wall caving in. I'll be happy with 3D infantry based on Blender or 3DS MAX and Python. I'll be happy with a system where we can expand the role of objects and vehicles.... like ARVs, Landing Craft, or Gliders. I'll be happy with planes I can control. I'll be happy with the ability to crunch some code and build new stuff... especially if again the same starter objects and vehicles appear in the new release. This means I get to build tanks, trucks and planes.... I can't wait... I was getting tired of working on Ancient Greeks and Chariot Archers...

Well... here we go folks... Stand by for details. I have to say... the NIVAL Development team did a hell of a good job controlling the leaks on BK3.
I can't maintain secrecy in my office to save my life... There is always someone who feels like they will 'bust a gut' if they don't tell someone...

Latest reports seem to confirm that it will be a free-to-pay multiplayer game with a campaign for which we'll have to pay... If it follows this line I'll keep myself in Blitzkrieg I, that's for sure.
THAT'S WRONG, I AM SORRY FOR GIVING WRONG INFORMATION.
Here's Sergey's reply to this message:
BTW, B3 is not a free-to-play title, there is some confusion to that.
We'll have free multiplayer with optional subscription - kind of a free endless trial.
We're quite confident that people will want to pay for multiplayer - we'll explain how it works later, but it's different from other strategy games and feels more like B1 SP.
And we'll sell singleplayer campaigns as usual - you just buy it and play it It's absolutely same business model as we had when we released B1 and add-on campaigns for it.
HURRA!
