Can we make here our own version of GZM mod? with campaigns , chapters and maps. Nothing really is happening here for quite a long time lets nominate a superior mod like feldgrau's Heeresgruppe or keeps Frankreich '40 and start putting all the talents we have here to work. what do you say Blitzkrieg-ers ?

If Squire James releases his revised "Crimson Fields", it will be better than GZM and no translations needed. GZM is huge, but not better than his work.

as much as I like GZM, there is very different preferences about what is desriable in a mod and what is not. I like that we have a huge diversity of mods in this community, where the player is free to chose whatever type of Mod he prefers.

good points but I rather play something new then be playing old stuff for a hundred time over and over again moreover I dont think its a big issue if you like to make say a chapter for different mod , it would be easy to adopt your work to "universal" mod

NO because imho I feel like we dont have anyone to make a really good single maps anymore, I dont see how we can make a campaigns and match GZM in any way. I would love to see some kind of cooperation with gzm team in order to make the game more playable for english speaking players at least.
I am not going to support this (but im useless anyway) because I feel like we dont need another version of GZM as it covers entire war and all theatres already (also pre war and post war stuff ). We dont need another huge mod or huge campaigns as its extremely time consuming and frustrating to do. Theres no need to cover same battles over and over again and remake vanilla maps in multiple mods. What we need are just single missions or maybe chapters with some uncovered battles and cool ideas. We dont need a whole community cooperation for that. In fact kursk maps by staneberg are some of the best content for the game in last few years.
If you guys feel like you want to cooperate on something then Great! Go on! As stan said people have differnet preference how the gameplay should be like and theres much more diversity than in russian community. I dont want to bother with battles and gameplay I dont care about. Thats why I created my own little slovak mod with kursk like gameplay and work with that because I cannot realize my ideas in any other mod. No need to waste my already limited time on something else.

for me it doesn't have to be gigantic new mod , A mod with new or even old re-scripted/re-design chapters, maps ..whatever , enough resources and units to satisfy different moders and players to be involved. Of course these are my personal thoughts as I am getting old and nothing excites me anymore

Release 7 is still a fair bit off, working on the Axis Campaign as we speak. I could release the mod as is, without the Axis and Soviet campaigns, as the units, squads, objects etc are complete. (so people could start making maps etc for it)

(so people could start making maps etc for it) I played through release 6 Campaigns , Can you tell me what you're working on Axis Campaign ? is it bug fixing , additional maps ? or something else. I have completely redone all the infantry squads again, as I made some fairly major mistakes (historically speaking), rebalancing the way the formations work too (more dramatic differences between each formation type, and the shape of each formation). I've added some new historical maps to various chapters, completely reworked the random maps to be (oddly) less random. What I mean is that the maps generated for, say France in 1940, will *look* like the French countryside, not just generic green fields etc. Same with Italy, Poland, Germany etc. They look far closer to where they should be. I've added new chapter map images for each new chapter so they match the style of the originals, redone a lot of effects, added encyclopedia entries for infantry squads, as well as bug fixes, fixing some balancing issues, reworking chapter context files and patch files (adding in specialised units for ammunition carriers, self-propelled AA, self-propelled artillery etc, so they generate properly) I've added new combat and explore music, and finally (I think ) new chapters for the Commonwealth and US Campaigns (splitting Italy into Salerno 1943 and Anzio 1944 chapters). For the Axis and Soviet campaigns, it'll be more of the same, making all the locations in random maps look more like their historical locations, map fixes, script checking etc, and I am considering adding an extra chapter to both to feature the Arctic Front/Continuation War.
