Hey guys,

It's been awhile since I've played so I decided to re-install Blitzkrieg, download my mod, and start playing and modding again. Only thing is, I'm trying to remember what I need for a proper installation and I'm not sure whether I need the 1.2 patch or not. I seem to remember if you have the US version, you don't need it. They sent me a free copy for being an original play tester and I'm even in the end credits for it. I've loaded the game and mod already and I don't seem to have any glitches. What do you think?

And what's this unofficial 1.3 patch I keep reading about?

Welcome back!
Patch 1.2 is mandatory, I don't know unoffical patch 1.3 but I'm playing without problems and I think that 1.3 patch is unnecessary.
I would suggest to try some nice mod like HRA and Heimatfront.

Ok, re-installed Blitzkrieg and updated with the patch1_2.exe.

It now shows version 1.2 and everything working great. Thanks.

I'll give those mods a try.

I forgot to mention Blitzkrieg Revolution. It has a lot of changings in the gameplay and you have to change the way to play for winning.

With regard to MODS it is best to install just one (major) mod per BK/RT installion. In theory you can have great many MODS in one installion. In pratice it leads sometime to unexpected crashes during games.

Hence I have a D-drive looks like

HRA\Blitzkrieg\... (with mods\HRA)

CSLA\Blitzkrieg\...(with mods\CSLA)

etc.

Folgore - BR is the first mod I installed. Looks great and tests out well.

keepitsimple - That's a great idea. I have Vista on an older computer so I run my games in C:/Games/Whatever instead of the Program Files folder. That way I don't have issues with Compatibility Files. I have plenty of room on my hard drive so I can do it easily. What about Campaigns and Chapters? Same thing? . . . or are they ok?

Now if someone could tell me where to download the Stalingrad ai file, I would appreciate it.

About unofficial patch v1.3

RT4All Patch (Unofficial Patch for Blitzkrieg 1) by La Plata Studios
"This patch contains more then 70 bugfixes for BK1 and BH. This patch contains files which were tested and released with "Blitzkrieg - Rolling Thunder".
The RT4all.pak-file contains a compilation of all RT-patch files which is dedicated for BK1 and BH.
Copy the file RT4all.pak into the folder "data" of BH or BK1. Do not use RT4all.pak for RT. RT contains already all patch files!

anyway, leonidas that unof patch i can put in blitzkrieg but about burning horizon i can put it also in anthology version? (sorry if it's stupid to ask)


edit (to don't full of posts) @leonidas : mods don't made those corrections/adjustments inside that unofficial patch, because i use BK only with mods so it usefull to add?

You can do it with BK1 in Anthology version but not in BH because BH is already intregate with Rolling Thunder.
