Yep... this is the exact issue that I have been working on for the Proprietary Server Multiplayer Option. That particular part of the code does have a bug in some releases of BK 1.0 (Vanilla). The code and bug is further propagated if any of the code is used on any other BK release. This occurred within Anthology and Mission Kursk. All of the updated code was supposed to provided with patch 1.2.
Before I can provide an accurate answer in regard to your repair, you need to advise which BK version and Stand-Alone Release you are using.
BK 1.0 = BK (original)(2003): patched to 1.2 in Anthology.
BK 1.1 = Burning Horizon (2004), patched to 1.2 in Anthology
BK 1.1 = Rolling Thunder (2004) - Patch 1.2 was the final patch that fixed some code and hi-res issues.
BK 1.3 was the Rolling Thunder Multiplayer Patch - adds LAN and Internet Multiplayer but not the Proprietary Server Option. Splash Screen shows version 1.2, but it is actually 1.2.2
DTF/1C/Blackbean (2005) "Stalingrad" is based on BK 1.2 originally patched to 1.2.1 due to the Line of Fire Fix and heavily modified Player Interface. Final patch is 1.2.3
G5/1C/Blackbean/Strategy First (2005)"Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath/The Day After: Fight for Promised Land" is based on BK 1.2, but patched to 1.2.9 due to the new gameplay features including resource management. Related to "Cuban Missile Crisis: Ice Crusade"
NIVAL/Blitzfront Game Studio (2007-08) "Talvisota: Icy Hell" is based on BK 1.2 and patched to 1.2.1. Final patch to 1.2.2
Active Gaming "Mission Barbarossa & Mission Kursk": based on BK 1.2, patched to BK 1.2.5.
Dark Fox "Blitzkrieg: Operation North" based on BK 1.2
In the meantime, check the Run/Mod Folder

Do you have the MOD folder under Run?
It may be in a .pak file

What do you want the "Load Mod" button to show?
I'll send you the code...

That one has already been changed. It's the "unsupported mod" one.

You did not find that one yet?
I'm wondering if the game.exe stripped the header name and added the text 'Unsupported Mod'.
I see some code that does that if the Mod does not have attached modobjects.xml. There is some code that check for that first, before a MOD is added to what we call the elevator script. That is where all list are 'pushed' through the code.
I need to know what happens if you select that option. Obviously since it does not recognize it as a supported mod, something is preventing it from being read and used. It might be as simple as missing text files, especially the Header, allowing the Code to rename it.
It is the Header.txt that is displayed, not the name of the Mod. What can you tell me about the Unsupported Mod?

Erg, it's displayed when there's a folder inside the Run/Mods's one, but it doesn't contain the mod.xml file. Moreover, it seems it wasn't translated into Spanish since it's in English in my version of the game.

I've encountered the "unsupported mod" twice.
First, when deleting a specific mod from my mods folder (not uninstall, but deleting the mod folder). Happend only with this specific mod.
Second time, when i changed mod version from 3.0 to 4.0 and then reversed it from 4.0 back to 3.0.
BK seems to store this information somewhere, same for chapters, but i have no idea where.
Not sure if this helps, but that's how it might cause it. Interested to know where this information is stored, especially for chapters.

BK stores a lot of data in the Windows Registry. Example: You can load the mapeditor in any BK version on any Drive or in any Folder, and it will still use the objects.xml and object files from the one last specified. The same thing applies to Resource Editor.
Changing titles, version numbers and so forth does not get updated in the Registry until it is pointed to and called by the program. If it fals to find it, it gets flagged. Usually the next time... it re-identifies the the change.

BK stores a lot of data in the Windows Registry. Example: You can load the mapeditor in any BK version on any Drive or in any Folder, and it will still use the objects.xml and object files from the one last specified. it can happen, despite the reboot, windows continue to remember the object.xml of the last mapeditor session loaded? also despite i start a new sessions with another BK and so another object.xml once rebooted? last time, when i was playing a save game file about a mission for kursk, it's like game didn't remember to use aircrafts; in this mission is enough used by AI. anyway game crash, i repeat the mission from the beginning and nothing of strange happen, AI use aircrafts and no crashes to report ... then the kind of crash was much strange but i can exit just with esc bottom, it isn't the usual read memory error, something of much light ... reading here, i've associated the map editor reason because i remebered the troubles about aircrafts start from there ... sorry i'm ignorant, i'm talking for what happen, so maybe has nothing to do about what you talking about.

If you have the older version of mapeditor still anywhere on a hard drive or any folder. it did not support added aircraft. If you run that version, it resets the parameters, although the current objects.xml is still used.
Running the newer release only resets aircraft and does not effect the objects.xml.
Changing or updating the objects.xml works in the later mapeditor, but does not update in the older version.
