Wittmann - not too sure what point you are trying to make
Have looked back at your last posting and am still not sure
In your previous post, whilst I am sure you were only "joking" you seem to be suggesting that it was thanks to you I got second place.....whilst technically that is true I guess, that is the nature of competition.
On principal, I did not vote for my own work either, in case that is what you are getting at.
So my apologies if I did not thank you personally, but your comments sounded a bit like what we call here a "back-handed compliment" and I wasn't totally sure how to take them.
Ariete however, was quite clear in what he was saying and, as he has been around here a long time (since 2010) I wanted to thank him......not sure why I should even feel the need to justify this to be honest!!!
If you have taken offense at the fact that I hadn't thanked you personally then my apologies but, if you take the time to see when I registered on here, (2009) you will see, I don't tend to post much.......and this is the reason why!!
Jeeze!........I post a comment thanking someone and this is the reaction!!....I think I'll go back to being a silent member!!

@ Wittman - No problem and my apologies to you....I was fairly grouchy this morning and should have held off posting till I had got a few coffees inside me first, so lets forget all about it.....Ariete is right.....it is far too easy to misinterpret on here. I am looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with the Major's new B17 !! @ Ariete - I'm probably a lot older than you ......but doubt I have as much BK experience as I came to this wonderful game late!! Personally... I think you all did great... and it shows clearly the amount of talent and passion we have in this community.
I'm not exactly sure what I will do next, but I agree with one of the post earlier suggesting we need more contests.
If you guys are game... we can work around a single model or select your own in Series, or - maybe let you guys select from any of my models. Give me your thoughts on this.
The purpose of this contest was to show some diversity with a common truck model but different styles, beds or designs. I think we pretty well covered it and the models will be released on Wednesday evening or Thursday... with the skins by the artist.
There are few others also in the Series that were not selected and I hope to expand other models as needed. The rider soldier files will be available soon.
Again... everyone is a winner and many thanks to all...
Now it is up to VO to decide what he wants to do...
All of the Official Matador Series... and share the Copyright .....
or trade all of that away for something else...
So what thou Herr Osten?

Well, if I can decide, I would like to share the Copyright.. I want it to be owned by our community. We can make many different textures for them, I liked the diversity as showed by all! Ok... VO has spoken... and he has made his decision.
As per his request, the MATADOR SERIES will be owned by the Community with a shared Copyright.
What this essentially does is open the door for this Series to be Modified by any member of this community just about anyway he wishes. The only limitation is the Series cannot be sold or used as part of any Commercial Release. This includes Brendel lifting any models for his use.
I will serve as the GateKeeper to ensure the Community's Interest are not abused in this respect. So if the Copyright is violated, I will protect it to the fullest.
The Matador Series will be released as I previous stated... with the Skins provided for the contest. The artist who participated I am sure will continue to apply their talents to the other models. I have already been contacted by other members who also wish to create skins for the Series that did not enter the contest. I urge them to enter the next contest.
I hope everyone enjoyed this contest. I was very interesting to see the different styles and applications of the skins. In that respect, the Community is the true Winner of this event.
The Matador Release will be announced on my Project Page soon.
