MATADOR SKINNING CONTEST
If you have been keeping up with the Major Pains Projects Thread, then you are aware that I have been letting the Community determine which AEC 853 Matadors will be included in the Matador Series. Part of the deal is the models are designed by the guy that have made suggestions. Taking it a step further, they must skin their model then take a screenshot of their model, and send them back to me.
This Topic is where these models will be displayed for the first time. Then the members of this community will judge each entry and vote for a winner. This contest is not to determine the best overall skinner... so don't think of it that way. The Matador is an interesting Truck that was used for many kinds of uses, It is the concept, the skin and the screenshot that everyone should look at.
I have never created a Series in this manner. I have suggestions after a Series has been released to add some new models from time to time. But this time I wanted to give the members an opportunity to tell me what they would like to see included. I can tell you that some of the guys that are working on their Matadors have designed some interesting models. I hope everyone will be impressed with the thought and effort they have put into their models.
I'm doing something a little different with this Series. The Contest Winner will be awarded equal Credit for the Series. The Winner will ultimately skin the entire series and it will his skins that will be released. So the Winner will be included in the Copyright History on the Model as the Artist. In addition, the guys that designed and skinned each model for this Contest will get credit for the Design Concept, which will also appear within the History Section of the model.
On December 1st, I will post all Models and Screenshots in this Thread... The Poll will open directly after the Models are added.
Members can vote for two models. At the end of the Contest Voting, the Winner will be announced. In the event of a tie, there will be a tie-breaker between the artist that tied. The Collected votes will not be displayed. So the voting will be blind to the community. I'm doing this to reduce pressure on the members voting. Sometimes we see something doing well and we decide to go along with it.
