tedi88, If what you say is true about the aircraft association, especially the ME109s as ground support that only see what's on the ground when it's in sight of my ground forces, then that was a poor decision by whoever designed the map. Why change something and not let the player know?? Thanks for the bridge tip. It wasn't really a spoiler at this point. But here's a question........the mission briefing says to have your Pioneers disarm any explosive charges on the bridge. Is this possible, and if so, how is it accomplished?? Maybe just by having the Pioneer vehicle drive to the bridge and tell it to remove mines?? Actually, I don't recall mission briefing mentioned He-111's. I could be wrong though. Further, it's historical. Bf-109's were used extensively at this time period as GAP, not great GAP but still GAP. Downside is, like you said and with which I agree, their inability to see the enemy, which I always disliked but that's a balance thing. Unless there are mines on the bridge, then the only thing you need to do is drive any of your forces across the bridge. Again could be wrong I haven't played MB for a long time. However I would like to warn you about something i forgot to mention and which is bad mission design. Tell me how many core units do you have in total on the chapter screen (tanks only)? If it's 4 or less, then mission will fail regardless whether you actually succeed to take the bridge or not. Be sure to have more than 4 tanks as core units in depot/chapter screen before attempting this mission.

Normally there's a patch who fix this issue but i played this mission after installing the patch (just to test a french translation that i did), i've used the cheat code to jump chapters and missions to access directly to this mission, after i've repaired the bridge objective failed if my memory is good there were 3 core units who just appeared but the fail was maybe because the bridge was destroyed but i don't know because my computer where all was installed on die months ago and i didn't try to test again so having 4 core units is the better way to don't fail this mission. Just the passage of the read me file of the patch :

Yes, it appears I have run into the issue of not being promoted passed Lieutenant by the time reaching this mission, so I don't have any of my core tanks to start the mission, nor do they show up with the first round of reinforcements. But as I said in an edit, I did sometimes get two of my core tanks in the 2nd round of reinforcements but usually it was 2 armored cars that didn't last very long. The one thread I found suggested I go back to a previous chapter and play a few random missions so I get promoted so I decided to do that. The links to the patch were broken. I've never been a fan of Random missions, they do tend to be a bit repetitive, but it's not like I couldn't use the practice! I may have to get a thumb drive and install BK, MB and saved files on it, so I can bring it into work!!

Here are all patches that you can use in MB : MP-Patch 1.1 : the one i was referring to Smolensk_Objective_Fix install after the previous one above in MB data folder of course like all MB patches think to check the path that the installer give you, sometimes it must be changed Enviro_Update this one is very cool, it add the MK environment to MB i really recommend to install it Mission Barbarrossa Winter Textures to play some custom missions created by the community members No random scenarios i'm not fanatic of random missions too Range Mod reduce the ranges (i don't like this one ) Normally i didn't forget one

WOW!! Thanks for all those patches!! You are the man!! I assume I have to start the Beresiny Bridge mission over from the beginning after installing MP-Patch 1.1?? And on that thought, can I install any of these patches while playing a campaign or do I have to start over from the very beginning, which would really suck. I already had the range mod from a few years ago, but after playing Stalingrad, I've sort of gotten use to the extended artillery ranges. I like beating a game the way it was designed.

Just the passage of the read me file of the patch : Quite possible. Though I still had fail mission happen now and then with it and i'm sure the bridge was intact when it happened. Major Johnson I fully agree with your thoughts on random missions. Also patch should be save compatible, just restart the mission from the chapter menu.

No, no, just a little guy behind a monitor I assume I have to start the Beresiny Bridge mission over from the beginning after installing MP-Patch 1.1?? And on that thought, can I install any of these patches while playing a campaign or do I have to start over from the very beginning, which would really suck. Normally after installing them you just have to restart the current mission as it was explained in the active gaming forum (the link that you've posted in your edit, sorry i just read it now) but i'm not totally sure for the "No random scenario" and "Enviro_Update" patches.

Envio should work without restarting the campaign. Mission restart might be necessary though.
No random scenario would require, restarting the game though.

So just as an update, I decided to play a few random missions just to get promoted. I'm on the third random mission, and it looks like as long as I play smart, I should be able get my promotion at the end of this map. What a process!!

Lieutenant, which supposedly is the trigger for the error message I was getting. And to boot I was being insulted at the same time with another message saying "you are not the commander you thought you were!" OUCH!!! There's nothing like being bitch slapped by the AI in a video game!!!
