A little request; i need the 'weaponsfile' with extended shooting ranges for all infantry, tanks and artillery. I know there are some mods around, and so does these ranges are in Barbarossa game. Can anyone help me and provide me such a weapon file. I need them for a little mod, and time's limited for me. And another question; Does anyone know if there has been a mod that changes the projectile speed? With some weapons I think the speed is to slow. If not, I'll make one.

A small VO's mod with high ranges : i already love it (this is what was missing to the Single Objective mod IMHO) If you still have the 1.5beta version of the Offikrieg mod all .xml's and weapon files of the units of the Bk vanilla are at the MK standards. To answer at your last question i've never heard about a mod increasing the projectiles speed, and think it's a good idea mainly for the artillery shells and bombs dropped by bombers and ground attack planes.

dat shit yet grot?! vonosten i'm using weapon files founded in the iron frost, check from 3.0 pak, 2.2, 2.1, ... to kursk mod / data / weapons folder, for the files you need.

Yes, I like to see it work as well :/ But I forget how to do it.. I'm trying all sorts of things but ranges keep the vanilla range when I test it ingame. What I try is to reset the weapon files of each unit. Like as example the Flak '88 normal rangemax in the game is '30' I changed it to a higher rate but nothing happens. Any advise? AimingTime="0.5" AmmoPerBurst="4" RangeMax="100" RangeMin="1"

VO you must edit some parameter in costs.xml..I dont remeber it now..I will edit if I find it Edit: Its MaxFireRangeToShootByLine probably

I'm sorry i can't help you more because i've never changed the ranges of units myself but as what i had understood values must be changed in the weapon file and in the 1.xml of the unit, after i don't know if there are other files to changed...

The only thing that has to do with weapons on a unit's .xml file, is what weapon said unit is carrying, and how much ammo for that weapon he is carrying.
Everything else (aim time, dispersion, track damage etc) is in the weapon .xml file.

No worries it works. Thanks for helping! Now I will announce a little experimental mod that will change the whole gameplay of the game (I think Exept very large ranges and increased projectile speeds, visibility will be dramaticly increased as well. Soldiers will be much harder to kill when in cover, so this results in long firefights. Ranges for handweapons will be increased too thus long distance fighting will be often the case. What I try is to obtain as much realism as possible. For instance the sight improvement; In real life,eyes can see many miles when the light is good and no obstacles blocking. Weapons can shoot quite long distances with a raw estimate of 1-17 Km depending on the most common projectiles like AT-rockets, shells or bullets. The mod will change the game hopefully in something compared with the game "Close Combat" It will work best with huge maps and objects for sightcover like houses, trees and hills. Maybe I will need a scripter for a test map, so if you feel for this experiment, please send pm.
