Last week users of Malwarebytes reported that the Geocities.jp was blocked as “a potential malicious website” As Bolt’s Blitzkrieg Map Shop is hosted on geocities.jp it was also blocked. (website: www.geocities.jp/kwx50/en/index_EN.html)As it is always better to be safe than sorry we have now scanned the site with 68 different malware scanners of which 2 reported the site to be suspect. These scanners were Malwarebytes and Emisoft. The blocking of geocities.com.jp and geocities.jp was reported on the discussion forum of Malwarebytes. In their updated virus engine Malwarebytes does no longer block geocities.jp. A test with a licensed version of Malwarebytes V2016.09.30.08 shows that the ‘Blitzkrieg Map Shop’ is no longer blocked by Malwarebytes. (http://www.geocities.jp/kwx50/en/index_EN.html) Maybe Malwarebytes was a bit oversensitive to the popup advertisement on Geocities and this resulted in a FALSE POSITIVE. So it’s fair to say that ‘Blitzkrieg Map Shop’ is as save. For those who do not know the ‘Blitzkrieg Map Shop’, it’s worth a visit.

The problem is not Malwarebytes. It's indeed a good anti-virus program. I bought a lifetime licence years ago and it served me well over the years.
