I was wondering if it's possible to change the properties of field depots so they can only be used to resupply engineering trucks (spare parts, mines, hedgehogs, barb wire,....) or warehouses were you can only fill a transport truck with fresh troops. It would be nice, more challenging and more realistic, if there were different kind of field depots or warehouses.
I've searched through the forum but could not find any info on this.

it's surely possible the second. look kursk, there's a depot which give resources to resupply ammo and humans, without the neccesity for the player to have a warehouse linked, so that depot works as a warehouse basically. values to edit should be in the usual xml section, compare the xml files. about the first, a depot which give resources just for engineers, i don't believe but who know?! me not ...

I dont think its possible, since there is only one "type" of supply in the game which is used for everything (replacements in men, mines, ammo etc). Maybe it is possible to prevent certain unit types from refreshing on certain depots

Thanks for the reply guys. It's a pity because resupplying troops from a field depot is not very realistic, is it. Also the resources of supplies seem to be unlimited. I which there was a way of limiting the supplies of a field depot. eg like after loading 5 trucks the depot would become exhausted.

Quin, have you thought of this...? 1)Take the resupply humans function away from all vehicles. 2)Create a field hospital. It can technically be a vehicle that looks like a tent and cannot move. Place it on the map near the field depot. Once game starts, set it to resupply humans. 3)Bring all your depleted squads back to the field hospital to get them replenished. When it runs out of resources, the "medics" will head over to the depot to get more supplies and then they can keep sending "walking wounded" back out to the fight.
It will be a little labour intensive, but if you're looking for realism... In my time in the army we never had a truck full of replacements following us around.

I have now idea how to do this but it would work.

Look at the HRA mod. It has something quite similar to what Ronson describes
