Hello everyone,
I have been dipping in and out of Blitzkrieg over the last few weeks - it was just like putting on a pair of comfortable old slippers.
Really encouraging to find that there is still an active community still playing and modding this game, and that some old names are still around (waves), and that black background and orange text is still in fashion!
As I still have the content of the Blitzkrieg Portal site I thought I would make available the downloadable content - some 9GB of files - just in case some of you are missing items that you may remember, or you find other users are talking about.
The content include skins, patches, mods, demonstration versions, tools, language packs, resource editor files, music and sound mods, tutorials, field sets, newsreel clips etc. What is not available (yet) are all the maps and chapters.
Unfortunately, the content is not organised in the most user-friendly way. I have simply uploaded the folders from the site to an Amazon Web Services bucket and auto-generated an index of the subfolders and their files.
When I created the site all the downloadable files went it a downloads subfolder. As the site developed I began setting up subfolders named after the author. Consequently the filing is a bit chaotic (the structure didn't matter when there was a front end), with skins found under the downloads/skins subfolder, the downloads/mods subfolder and also under folders named after the author (e.g. grozni, jackcola).
All content has been scanned for malware etc. prior to being uploaded. The tools (script editor etc), *should* still work, even with the latest versions of Windows.
If anybody is looking for anything in particular, or has a question about any of the files (some of the filenames are a bit cryptic) then just let me know. I cannot promise a quick response at the moment, but I’ll try and help as much as I can.
Please use this link to access the index page: chilp.it/56b9817
Perhaps I’ve not done my homework properly and all this is readily available already…
