@kevin, do you launch Maya via a desktop shortcut? If so then maybe try to launch form the folder where you have Maya installed. I tried that, but it didn't work either.

- Include the entire package (Game launcher, map editor and reseditor) as a Data Execution Prevention exception. If running Anthology, include all 3 versions (B1, BH and RT). You should end up with 9 exceptions then.
Doing this prevented Maya from opening. I added Maya to the exception list. Problem solved!

I solved the issue with Maya caused by one of the tricks I used when trying to correct the mapeditor issue.

Yes. Actually, it's like the mapeditor was overwhelmed when the modobjects.xml file placed in Run/Data had too many entries.

Maybe split of the mod and use your stuff in 2 mods? Is that possible?
Or delete some stuff from your modobjects what you do not need (befor that check out your maps)

I can run the mapeditor if the modobjects.xml file is in the Run/Mods folder. But that does not allow me to select the airplanes. I can do a trick and create a mock modobjects.xml file with 4 or 5 entries which I place in Run/Data so that I can select the airplanes for the mission I need. CSLA has about 1000 modobjects entries. I cannot delete 950 of them.

Juts posting the things I would do in this situation. So I would try to run CCleaner to clean up the registry. It's more likely that both the problem with the map editor and Maya have a common cause. A corrupted registry entry could cause strange undesired effects.

Are you using the 1.4 editor? It fixes a lot of random crashes.

No, they don't have a common cause. I solved the Maya thing because it was caused by one of the attemps I did in order to solve the mapeditor thing.

If it's any comfort you are not alone suffering from Win 10 issues. Since the latest update my laptop freezes because I the HDD is working like crazy. All I can do is wait until the activity stops. Another fine update by Windows !
