Indeed sad to hear that Blitzkieg.Be is no longer available. The site was well made and organized. It puzzles me why someone takes the time an effort to ruin a site like this. I hope you find the courage to rebuild the site kaoz, but I know the feeling. |

Dear all, I am really sad to hear that. Back in 2012 I made copies of several websites and forums, which can be downloaded using the link I am sharing below. Bear in mind files were not downloaded, I asume, but maybe it can bring you some memories back. The pack includes: Blitzkrieg Map Shop CDV Blitzkrieg Forum Fall Weiss Foro BKPE Geocities Blitzkrieg Panzer Blitz Solvang's Projects Tangram BK TNT
kaoz, is TNT the name of Blitzkrieg.be or am I mistaken?

yes, this is bad. But I think there are lots of peole who have kept backups of the old files. I'm more concerned with the tons of (good or bad) stuff released in this forum. Sometimes I think to start a blog to release my maps and other interesting things produced in the times post-bkp. If I only had time to breath... kaoz : have you thought using mediafire to store the maps and revive your site just with links to it? And thanks for your efforts, BTW, the TNT site was the most close thing we have to the BKP concept. |

This lost was announced by Boltz a couple of years before, if i remember correctly, so surely someone had provided to download the contents in the site.
Then, someone could upload all the stuffs in a unique drive of 'the community', but at the end is the same meaning, one day could be lost also this last attempt !
What you though BB is great, if exist more places like you have in mind, surely game would be much consider, and not just by the newbies.
Kaoz made a great job, but unfortunally something doesn't work .. like too often, unfortunally !

Setting up a website is easier said than done I guess. As I said I liked Kaoz's website. One thing I learned is that a website should have a backup so the website can be restored when something goes wrong.
I cannot go into details about the reasons Boltz was no longer able to maintain his site but he did all he could to keep the BK MapShop on line for as long as possible.

It's possible to make a free website, a kind of copy of the BK Map Shop but there would be adds. I would need to look into this. @koaz 's site was great but I understand his feelings about starting it up again. It' underestimate how much work and time goes into setting up an maintaining a website.

Any news concerning the salvation of the content of the sites?
I would be especially interested in the collection of over 300 SP maps that both sites had.
If anyone has a larger bunch of these Maps please contact me (I already have the chapters from mats download site)

Considering that Von Osten also offered to upload his archive I'd like to see how we would figure out the details of doing such a task. As he mentioned we need to avoid duplicates and I'd prefer not to upload everything to have most of it being duplicated (and my time wasted as a result). It will take time, but I can make a list of what I have. Of course, on mediafire I have a lot of stuff (5.2 GB) available from myself and some other files. Find me on mediafire: Von Osten. |

Thanks a lot! The site has all the good HF maps from cc_commander & Eiszeit and the Manhunter maps and chapters. I miss a lot of the Dimitry M. maps though  |
