Have been working on the WW interface lately and have grouped icons by country and added some countries to the toolbar. So, Army, Navy units are all under one layer.

Well my computer is kaput so I suppose this project is on indefinite hiatus. Too bad as I was pretty close.

No, Im afraid not. It was a defective when I bought it, an HP laptop from 2003, and have had to deal with it since the warranty ran out. It actually lasted longer than I thought it would. This is the tower Im building. The case is the cheap part.

...The case is the cheap part. I guess, then, that the most expensive part is the Space Shuttle you will put your new computer into... ;D ;D

Well it was a laptop so I would have to go to a computer repair shop to access the data on it. I have most everything backed up on an external drive and boy is that a relief.

No graphics card, no sound card and basically just a workstation. I am taking this opportunity though to work on the strategy/commerce portion. It has elements of Patrician 3 (market/commerce) and Jennifer Government ( www.nationstates.net/) and a little like this political game www.ars-regendi.com/.

@ Danzig, what reference of laptop do you have? Disassembly of a HDD on a laptop is easy, you save money...you can do that.

@danzip
I bought a case that had clear sides once...
but it was too much distraction watching the hamsters running around inside on the fans. I you didn't feed them, the fans would stop and overheat the motherboard.
So I had to get rid of it.
And the hamsters... ;D

The drive should be fine it is mostly the fans that quit and the motherboard. And the new AK-47 ventilation system. And perhaps the monitor after throwing it into the Grand Canyon.
