It shows volunteers of the "جيش بلاد العرب الحرة" ;D (Legion Freies Arabien).

Les Paradis Northern France. 27th of May 1940. Victims 99 men of 2nd Battalion Royal Norfolk Regiment. Perpetrators No.4 Machine-gun Company belonging to the 3rd SS Divison Totenkopf. Final order was given by one Hauptsturmführer Fritz Knöchlein. British soldiers were machine gunned and then bayoneted, however two survived. Both survivors were privates. One William O'Callaghan and the other Albert Pooley.
Interesting fact is that the 2nd Battalion fought against 14th Company, 1st Battalion of the 2nd SS Infantry Regiment, but due to a boundary line they surrendered to the 3rd SS.
Another interesting fact is that Fritz Knöchlein was hanged for this massacre on 21st of January 1949. Sentence was carried out in Hamburg.

Well, that's more than correct. You even hit the Bonus down cold...  I just read the biography of a man, who served with a phone- squad detached to the 1. company/ 2. SS Totenkopf Regiment (mot) on that day.  Pretty hard cost that is... Your turn. Greetz from Hamburg. |

Hey Tedi,  That flic was taken in Milan during the september of 1943. It shows a Panzer IV (I couldn't find any hints about the exact Ausf. but it would have to be a late G or H) belonging to the LSSAH (Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler). This unit seized the city right after the armistice between the new Italian Badoglio-government and the allies. The building in the background is the famous Milan Cathedral. And at last, I couldn't find a 625 but a 618 on the turret (hope we talk about same picture... ;D). So that means it's the 8th tank of the 1st platoon, 6th tank- company. Greetz from Hamburg. |

When I go to the link, it crashes my desktop.
Seems to be some kind of virus issue at imageshack. My Virus protection software advises incoming trojan alert.
