I have a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I tried installing BK and it installed ok. It doesn't run. The BK icon comes on the screen and disappears and the game does not start. Help anyone Thanks I have a new I7-860 PC coming home soon with Windows 7. Don't tell me I'm gonna shout at it as I did with Vista over my laptop?? Try right-clicking on the Blitzkrieg icon and clicking on properties, then click on the Compatibility tab. Click Run this program in compatibility mode as: then find the Windows XP Service Pack 2 entry.
When you want to run the game itself you can try right-clicking on the icon and click Run as Administrator.
For working with the MapEd you have to disable some of the security measures (for Vista, at least.) I did it and it helps, but I can't recall just now how to do it.
I get the distinct impression that every version of Vista or Windows 7 has it's own set of bugs, depending on when it was released, so this may or may not help you.
My latest one: I finally got Rolling Thunder to install and work. Now suddenly vanilla BK does not recognize custom missions put into its data folder.

Good to know. When I'll have that big baby, I hope I'll be in your side.
