Is there a way to increase the size of an existing map?
Also, is there a way to change the season a map has been originally created with (i.e spring to winter)?
And finally, can a recon vehicle or tank turret be given the ability to use binoculars?

About the second question, you can use the bk power tools (Blitzkrieg XML Map Tools). Is very nice.

I just noticed your little slogan:
"Tried to quit several times"
I like it... it says it all.

Yes Yes and Never tried it. @mp, those are nice one word answers, but not very helpful by themselves. So how can I change the size of a map? bb, thanks! When I get back home I'll look at that. ;D

So how can I change the size of a map? The best and easiest way is to make the map into a patch in the random map generator, then put the patch into a larger random map. You can also change the way the map faces and the troops that are in it.
Using this method, you can make maps that are the same size or larger, but you can't make them smaller. If the new map you are making is particularly bigger than the one you started with, you can also add new stuff to it like more towns and villages, start points, etc.
There is a tutorial by - I think - Tangram on how to do this.
